yes it's true, there was a very naive policy towards china, but i don't know, the risk and that it ends in a war, even if with nuclear power it seems unlikely
what does this ideology mean?
It means that Americans believed God gave Americans the right to spread over the world and create an agricultural based society. This lead to Americans making the midwest into what it is today. Americans never spread over the whole world, but Manifest Destiny ideology still impacts American foreign policy.
thanks for the mho
Thank you for MHO
yes it's true, isn't it folly to fight to always be the first in whatever things😅

Sorry my English is bad so i don't understand everything lol, but i don't know, the forecasts are hard to predict, i think the world bank said that china could become the first world power by 2030, but whatever at the moment the usa have a fairly significant lead over china
I'm not an expert, but don't you think that the United States is indirectly responsible for the rise of China, having accepted it in the World Trade Organization?
Yes, moving much of the US infustrial base to China has facilitated its rise. Our politicians, top ecutives, consultants, billionaires and lobbyists are responsible for that.
yes, are you american? do you think it can end in war?
China doesn't need to fight a war. If tgey fight one, its because the odds are overwhelmingly inthe favor. Taiwan declaring independence is only current scenario I can see them going to war given its importance to them. The US would be crazy to fight a war over Taiwan. I am from the US, yes
I see, anyway for now you still have a significant lead over China
I'm not so sure about that.
I think that if, for example on the military level you have 11 aircraft carriers and China in 2, etc, so I think that if China should become the first world power it is not yet, maybe in 30 years but i'm not sure
yes that's exactly what i mean
No, why would I want something like this? Yes you are right for the financial crisis
yes it is true, but it will certainly resume but it is also the case for the united states, finally i think that on that it is quite global lol
I mean China's economy has be on the decline for years now
I'm not so sure about that, in addition they are investing in new places now and especially in Africa, but I think the other nations have been too naive towards China
What makes you say that?
If you’re actually paying attention, it looks like China is about to get ass plowed by the world. Someone has to hold the bag of shit at the end of a recession and it looks like it’s China’s turn to be the whipping boy. For example China holds $1.07 trillion in US treasuries and America is currently printing to devaluing the dollar. Other nations throughout Europe as well as Japan have already been doing this via QE. Inflation/stagflation is coming for sure and it will gobble up all the wealth China has locked in foreign treasury bills demolishing their wealth. Simultaneously all developed nations are contracting from globalization and bring manufacturing home. Europe and America are making deals to coordinate such efforts. China and many other emerging markets are going to get hurt real bad by this economic shuffle. It will hurt overall growth around the world for maybe a decade or two but it will especially hurt emerging markets.
oh ok, thanks for the details
