Advise you to check the vpn providers policy, if they keep logs then they will still give them to the fbi. And they wouldn't be snooping around everyone just ones seemed as a threat.
They don’t keep any logs IP addresses or servers used. So even if the FBI went to them and said we need everything you have on this IP address they wouldn’t have shit to give them.
Good vpn then.
what vpn service do you use? I am pretty sure that every vpn company has to comply with international law
@thisisausername9999 Feel free to readhttps://nordvpn.com/privacy-policy/
thats just a written statement on their website, why wouldn't they try to assure to you that everything is ok, false advertisement is real. If I am planning on killing 20 people, and I used a vpn service and the fbi asks for my records, what do you think will happen to that company when they say ''sorry, we dont keep logs'' take pirate roberts case for example, the way they never disclosed how they even got his information in the first place. Companies are going to have to comply with this if it is passed. Honestly, i'd invest in my own vpn system at times like this. you are safe from hackers, but not the fbi in this case.
@thisisausername9999 Sure, companies can lie but in the event that they do they are leaving themselves open to a massive class action lawsuit. And any illegally obtained evidence isn’t admissible in court.
when information is illegally obtained they can easily trace your steps and make it look legal.
@thisisausername9999 You have been either watching too many movies, or reading too many conspiracy theory articles. The US federal government is pretty close to being completely incompetent.
the fbi has a 90% success rate in solving crime though, and the government is purposely incompetent. the government becomes extremely efficient with groups like the black panthers. you can see the history for yourself though, its all recorded.
@thisisausername9999 Source? Cause uh… ucr.fbi.gov/.../clearances
well im mature enough to admit when I am wrong. but the compliance with the law still stands though. ''Caution Against Ranking: Each year when Crime in the United States is published, some entities use the figures to compile rankings of cities and counties. These rough rankings provide no insight into the numerous variables that mold crime in a particular town, city, county, state, tribal area, or region. Consequently, they lead to simplistic and/or incomplete analyses that often create misleading perceptions adversely affecting communities and their residents. Valid assessments are possible only with careful study and analysis of the range of unique conditions affecting each local law enforcement jurisdiction. The data user is, therefore, cautioned against comparing crime data of individual reporting units from cities, metropolitan areas, states, or colleges or universities solely on the basis of their population coverage or student enrollment.''
As longs you were using VPN
@headset Never go anywhere without a 1st class paid-for VPN!

This is a very dark day.Several countries are already using, or in plans, to increase cell phone monitoring under the justification that they need to curb the spread of covid and be able to connect all parties who have been in contact, if and when needed.But this news is even worse. I was hoping it would take longer before it was actually enacted. We are paying for our internet and technology addiction, in more ways than one. Now, with our privacy being compromised at new levels.We should not be complacent about this.
Dude is a fugitive in Eastern Europe now
@Year3000 yup. who's gonna listen to an exilant? xD he's just a conspiracy theorist. nobody is gonna take him serious.
@genericname85 if he was a conspiracy theorist he would be living in the US, fitting in very well lol.
@Year3000 yeah well people are not exactly revolting are they? I know he's not a conspiracy theorist but apparently not many people think so. Cause otherwise there would be public outrage.
Most people aren’t educated enough to understand what a whistleblower is in America.
@Year3000 yeah we see that with corona. There's so much fake news that people don't know what's true anymore. But anyone with a bit of formal education would understand that the numbers used to scare people are bogus.
@genericname85 I’ve lost some relatives, and had friends who had the COVID. My friend who was a heroin addict, said COVID was the only thing worse than opiate withdrawals. It’s common here in NYC, and downplayed in my opinion.
@Year3000 well i had a friend who nearly died to the flu a few years ago. i'm not tryng to "down-play". i'm trying to see it realisticly.
