Why do people not consider me as Turkish?

Anonymous
I am a Turkish woman from Hungary. Me and my family migrated to Turkey several years ago and began to work and learn to speak in Turkish language. I look Hungarian, although I am ethnically Turkish, because I was born in Hungary and as you know, climate and environmental factors affect a person's phenotype. My family and I always identified as Turkish and even though we couldn't speak in Turkish, we tried to keep the Turkish culture and identity alive in Hungary. However, most people refer me as Magyar, even though my ethnicity is Turkish. Why do you think people refer me as Magyar, instead of Turkish?
