11. Yeah, what @humanearth said. I forgot to add that before. Eliminate or minimize your social media presence. Also what he said: learn, learn, learn... The Internet can be good for that.12. Your reputation is the most valuable thing you have. Remember: In the real world, you are what others think you are, not what you think you are.
Nice to see someone with the same views as me.
What would you say is a stable investment at this time?
@PeacefulRainDrop Anything issued by the United States Treasury Department.
Why would you say don’t have kids?
Kids cost oceans of money.Basically, Millennials and younger are fucked.Unless you already come from a wealthy family or have a good STABLE very-well-paying job, they just cost too much.You see, in American, you need to save for retirement, but also need to save for a mortgage and you have to pay a lot to buy a car now. And healthcare! My God, healthcare costs are ridiculous and only get worse as you get older. But, if you have kids, you need to pay for their survival and then, later, pay for their college and/or wedding.In generations past, there were many multigenerational families in which kids, parents, grandparents, and possibly older all lived together in one house. This saved a lot of money and helped the kids get ahead in life. Now, everybody is trying to move out and that costs money... and costs more money like daycare and babysitting for the kids. However, also in the past, there was an implicit understanding among families - parents raised and took care of kids and helped them get functional in the adult world but, as the parents got old and no longer could work, the kids would care for the parents. That's hardly the case anymore - especially in the last 45 years. Now, kids move off far away and don't have time or money to help the parents. Parents then live a miserable life in nursing homes and die of COVID-19. Worse, in a shitload of families, the kids become estranged from the parents; they don't even talk to each other anymore. Either the parents are assholes or the kids are ungrateful little shits.(more)
Look: the long and the short of it is, for the vast majority of most people, the amount of money needed to survive in today's world is just too much. You'd spread yourself too thin having kids. If you have them, you are fucking yourself and also just likely creating misery for them in the long run as well because they are in the same boat as you - shitty job, bills too much, can't get ahead.Really, in today's America, either you are the rich rancher (1%) or the cattle on line at the slaughterhouse (99%).I could see this coming in the early 1980s because Reagan began fucking everything up.So, I made a decision...I loved my kids and the only way that I knew that I could protect them from the coming shitstorm that is now with us was to not have them, so I didn't.
"Who doesn't want to be looked at as a 'Yoda or Gury', Lol" Come the fuck on! How about being seen as a super-cuck?

@Aakash_Hangargi lol 🙂 thanks
Get rid of toxic people even if they are family... they will only bring you down and hold you back to where you want to go... don't be a sheep... follow your own life path :)
I love this answer too
Omg ♥️ love your answer! 👍🙂
And our generation thinks your generation is full dismissive, close minded, "the old times were always better" people, like you!I do quite dislike most of my generation and the last, especially the fact that proper relationships aren't as popular anymore, people care about too many superficial things like you said, and people get outraged over just about anything, not all of us are like that, and I'm quite sure your generation had exceptions too, don't tell people to dismiss an entire generation.
(Also sorry but your images are too blurry to read)
There are exceptions to every rule. The old times WERE better. How many trophies did you get for finishing in last place? How many times did your parents and teachers tell you “you’re special.” You’re not and no one is. That breeds entitlement and pride. You’re right, I’m not open minded. I think a guy who inverts his penis and calls himself a man is still a man despite what he demands to be called. How many of your generation follow like sheep to whatever the latest trend or gadget the media says is cool? If selling your soul was in at least 75% of you would do that. These are all things millennials and Gen Z think are great. The problem is my generation which mostly gave birth to them and raised them placed them on a pedestal and didn’t whip your asses (cause everything now is child abuse). That’s all I see everywhere is millennials and gen z running around with their phony victim status and faces glued to their phones to the point they can’t hold an intelligent conversation.People like this are not people to listen to advice from. Yes, I’m harsh and critical about this, but the rest of us have to deal with you guys and suffer from the McDonald’s drive through where most of you guys can’t even get a fast food order right to the workplace where you guys think doing a half assed and showing up late 5 min everyday job should earn you the position of CEO.
The old times aren't always better, I didn't grow up in your time so I can't speak for that too much, but most people are safer than ever, all the information in the world is available to most people, I think it's stupid that people get praise for being opressed when they aren't at all, I've never been told I'm special by my parents or teachers, but when parents tell their children that they are usually just telling their children they care about them, by open minded I meant open to the idea of not everyone being like that, I think the gender thing has gone way out of hand too, I'm legitimately sick of the constant representation everywhere and constant social justice attacks, same with all the dumb consumerism, I still think it's prevention is better than hitting your kids immediately, since that's an "easy" way to get them to stop, a child should not even get to the point where hitting is necessary, but it's hard to prevent children from misbehaving since they get too many influences from too many peopleI agree people shouldn't be listening to the SJW "lets buy a 999 dollar monitor stand" crowd, and they are way too much, because even if someone in our generation doesn't agree with all those ideas, the majority still does, it's a garbage system, most of the world's became an echochamberCertain groups of people are treated too well regardless of their actions, and people that don't adhere to them are constantly criticized, they exist, they're just not something most people like
Well... you certainly are an exception to the rule in regards to what I predominately see in the members of your generation. Keep being an exception. No, the old times weren’t always better, but I feel the 1980’s were a much better time then right now. I mean for the country and I mean for society. It was a time before many of the things I mentioned. Now we live in a time many from my parents generation are shocked to see. To be fair though it was the boomers that brought us free love, hedonism, dissent regarding a war to stop the spread of communism and the destruction of the nuclear family. All this left wing, SJW crap is very reminiscent of the hippies. The hippies were the first to really break traditions and social norms on a mass scale. The main problem is godlessness and a stepping away from tradition and having too much of an “open mind” as I see it.
In regards to other comments you made. People are definitely not safer. Mass shootings... I can’t even think of one that happened. No one was flying planes into buildings in the name of Allah. We were in a Cold War but not a hot one as we are still fighting terrorism. Yes, info is widely available. So is propaganda and misinformation. So that’s a 2 edged sword.Yes, parents are saying that to their kids and meaning it like you said. That was my sarcastic humor referring to the self esteem psychology dumped in mass on Gen Y. Constantly being told over and over “you’re important, you’re special.” Getting trophies just for showing up. All this manner of thing in the many forms it comes in. All it did was build up an ego for which there isn’t legit reason for and breed entitlement and narcissism while also diminishing a sense of duty, responsibility. Diminishing the concept that things aren’t just handed to you. You have to work hard at them. To earn them, and that no one deserves anything they didn’t earn. Since everyone from these generations thinks they’re special and important, it lets them off the hook from responsibility. Responsibility to your fellow man, employer, country, God, and parents. My generation is guilty of treating their children more like friends and less like subordinates whom parents are to instill values in and raise to be responsible and productive members of society. In regards to children misbehaving, I am a firm believer in spankings and the use of a belt for older children, not done in anger but rather as a firm punishment for misbehavior that the child will not correct after having been instructed to do so. I do not believe in punching, kicking, or drawing blood. If your 14 year old daughter tells you she’s pregnant, maybe she deserves a slap across the face. Maybe everything isn’t child abuse. Maybe time out doesn’t work fir some things. Maybe there should be sever punishment for telling your school teacher “fuck you.”
When the police drop your 16 year old son off after having caught him vandalizing public property, maybe a belt is appropriate and maybe that’s not child abuse and maybe that’s just what’s needed to instill the fear of God to cause a permanent resolve to not do that again. Children these days can tell their parents “no” with impunity because so many things are child abuse. Maybe If you tell the people who love and provide for you “no” and these same people sacrifice so much for you, maybe... just maybe you need something more severe to curb that selfish and defiant attitude. Just saying.
Yes , I can agree on a lot of that, a whole lot less people seem to die in wars, on our side that is at least, and technological advancement is making things safer and safer in daily life, I really despise free love and ESPECIALLY polygamy :/ most people seem to be too open to every little thing, so you get a bunch of guys that are ok with their wives having sex with other guys for satisfaction, and parents that don't have any expectations of their children and are ok with them doing things like gender studies, or getting a professional career in online whoring, which they somehow support, what I meant is child abuse is things like hitting your 8 year old kids for eating too much candy, that's garbage, but parents seemed to have stopped properly teaching their kids to behave, in favor of letting them go their own way far too early, letting them get away with everything, if you properly teach kids how tp behave, and don't let them be influenced by stupid people too much, I think there will never even be a need for physical violence, letting your kids do whatever they want builds entitlement, there's definitely no denying that
I can fully agree with all that. Great points.
Agreed. There seems to be a lot of 50+ people running around saying if I die I die while 20 somethings are the ones wearing masks (in Texas) so many people in my age group are incredibly disrespectful to younger adults. Post note: I have a 20 year old so I’ve seen how people treat her sometimes at work and in other situations
The lies have always been there, it's just that the noise machines from both left and right (especially left for my money) have become exponentially louder.
@KrakenAttackin I think you are right. I think they are louder as more information is available on the internet and they can use the internet to recruit if they put out the right bait.
Don't push your beliefs on others if you can justify them, in fact.
I thought i was gen x all my life too. I think we're millenials
@Avenoma I am 50 not 40. Solid gen x er.
Hell people called me a boomer. I think they don't know the cut off or start. I was born in 1968
@humanearth Yeah, I was born in 1969.
Dindo's don't count. They are not willing to look in the mirror and take any responsibility, so I have nothing for them.
This is such a YouTube fanatic-boy comment. It's only in the little YouTube bubble that you are being sold the idea that there are all these offended victims out there because you are being sold an ideology. Yeh stop caring about your peers or suffering and just man up hahaha you guys are everywhere its hilarious 😂Reading some books and don't buy into ideologies sold as reality, that's my advice to my own generation and ones to come... and you 😂
@HartleyB What are you talking about? From personal experience a lot of people are complaining about environments, teachers this, students that, studying this, et cetera. Complaining won't help. The art is to work hard and strive for success despite all of the hurdles you come across. How you came up with ''stop caring about peers'' and ''YouTube bubble'' I don't know.
You just sound awfully similar to all these guys who watch youtube all day and think that everyone is trying to be some sort of "victim" when there are real issues that need to be fixed and they require peers and cooperation and not just victim blaming everyone and saying that they just didn't try hard enough. Saying stop being a victim is just a really silly statement to make...That's all sorry if I misconstrued what you meant its just my guy friends all watch these ridiculous things on YouTube and get stuck in a false reality where they think feminist and environmentalists and vegans are big angry mobs out to get the innocent white man when its just an ideology being sold to them... maybe I jumped the gun on what you meant though sorry
Capitalism created the future of humankind.
In the 30 years im been on this planet, I haven't seen a single thing capitalism "created"
What a sheltered life. You've never seen a building, or a vehicle of any sort. You've never used a faucet, ate a meal, wore clothing, never had shoes on your feet. You've never used the internet or watched films or a television broadcast. You've never used a sidewalk, had the need for medicine, never ate a meal in a restaurant. All creations of capitalism.
Well I placed a hundred euro bill on the floor... guess what, it build nothing... the phrase you searching for is "bad payed working class" which did all those work to made these things...But you will notice that when your job gets replaced through a machine and you need to start from scratchAnd, most things people think its made by your own people is most likely to be false... big brands still produce their stuff not at home, they take the cheapest workers you can get... which has nothing to do with capitalism, thats just slavery
No, it's not a phrase I was looking for. For one thing, I know how to spell. The working class isn't badly paid. In Canada $30 an hour or more for a basic tradesman is apt, and for overtime it's $45 and overtime on stats, it's $60 an hour. If you put a monetary note on the floor and expect it to do anything, well, you're stupid. You invest it. You can even go back to Mary Poppins when the children were sung to about investing in "railroads in Africa" where their tuppance would find use rather than to just feed birds. Everything you have was created by capitalism, every coffee you drink, and even this internet you are using to communicate. Software engineers who created it have also been well paid.
You notice that Canada got best payment in working class on the planet... so yes in Canada maybe, but not in the rest of the worldIm here in Austria, minimum payment is per law 15 per hour... I get actual payed 8.3 per hour...You started the shittalking tour, if you want discuss anything on a real base, pls, you're welcome... but pls get the fuck out of here with your "rich snowflake problems in Canada"
I also worked in New Zealand. I also lived in Australia for a little while. In my time in New Zealand I worked high rise construction, in a coal yard and on a sheep farm on the South Island. Your bitterness seems to stem from making half the minimum wage of Australia. Well, I'd be a little miffed, too.
In the world there are three types of exchanges:The first is money,the other time,and the most valuable: your attention.

Wow, a couple of posts now where I completely agree with you. I agree that pushing comfort zones is critical to personal growth.
@KrakenAttackin We’re breaking comfort zones with each other. (Wipes tear)
Gimme a hug man!
HAHAHAHAHA ain't that the truth. Somethings you just have to learn on your own
Good post and this rapidity of change is a relatively new phenomena.
Sun screen? Hell that shit will give you skin cancer.
You talk about 'video games', do you :D
