The fundamentalists sure would
You'd have to, ironically, be as delusional as you think they are to truly believe that.
Listen, if you don't think believing in an imaginary friend is delusional then I don't know what else to tell you, but clearly either you don't remember the Obama administration very well or you don't know Christianity and it's followers very well. www.patheos.com/.../www.huffingtonpost.ca/.../is-obama-hitler-or-the-an_n_169739fox4kc.com/.../www.amazon.com/.../1501025392
I think you fail to realize how crazy some religious folk could be
Doesn't the Bible say to love thy neighbor as thy self (love your neighbor as you'd love yourself)? Doesn't the Bible say everyone is a sinner? How can "fundamentalists" be fundamentalists without being "a person who believes in the strict, literal interpretation of scripture in a religion" (the definition of fundamentalist)? I'm not saying there aren't extreme, rash ones out there, but your claim is contradictory.
My claim is not, the fundamentalists are...
Can you verbalize your rationality given the points I made in my prior response, then? Can you explain why what I said was incorrect and why yours is correct?
See that? A very devout Christian... Seems people can believe they are Christians while doing very unChristian things... Almost as if... Religion is a sham
I'm not asking about any devout Christian, I'm asking about the fundamentalists you explicitly regarded. I didn't say all Christians are one way, I said most aren't and certainly not the fundamentalists you claimed. And do you want me to pull up a video of a Christian saying they accept and love people despite their alleged sins? We can just go back and forth giving examples of Christians, it solves nothing.
www.cbc.ca/.../...ts-before-u-s-top-court-1.924224www.theatlantic.com/.../Those are fundamentalists... Please recognize I didn't say "all Christians are this way," though I will say they are all delusional... Especially the fundamentalists, whether they are good people or not. Believing in an ancient text claiming the universe was made in 7 days, that light existed before the sun, that the earth is 6000 years old, that Noah made the Ark, that all animals came from incest and all humans too... But that isn't what I am saying. I am saying the same people who thought Obama was the Anti-Christ, or a Muslim, or born in Africa, or the founder of ISIS, are the same ones sucking DT's dick when he's doing horrible things, and see him as a Gods sent.
Are you trying to tell me there aren't that many people who think that way? I never said there were...
The first link looks like a link that would take you to a specific article, but upon clicking it, it opens the CBC News app and takes me to the front page. And on mobile (maybe in the browser version, too) of G@G, links are sometimes compressed to where the link still works but the URL isn't all there so I can't copy and paste it in chrome. So I can't click on that link but I saw the second link. And I know you didn't say "all Christians are this way," you said the fundamentalists are, and that's what I'm disputing. So I need you to stop avoiding things, stop beating around the bush, and tell me how "a person who believes in the strict, literal interpretation of scripture in a religion" can "strictly interpret" "love thy neighbor" as "God hates fags?" And you may not have explicitly said you think there are a lot of these people, but the fact that you dedicate time to verbally oppose them shows that you think there are. You don't go around complaining about people being murdered because it's such an infrequent occurence that it's not worth mentioning. But this supposedly is. But again, be an adult and explicitly respond to how fundamenralists can strictly interpret "love tht neighbor." If you don't address that part, I will ask you again before acknowledging any further remarks, so for the sake of both our time, don't make me ask again.
Look that is something the fundamentalists need to answer, I am not vouching for them, of course they are full of contradictions because the Bible is full of contradictions, I wonder exactly the same thing you do, how the hell can these people call themselves christians at all, I'd extend that question to all christians, but especially the fundamentalists. The bible is horrible evidence for anything, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." Love thy neighbor but kill anyone who works on the sabbath, stone women to death who aren't virgins, God didn't like his first plan so he wiped everyone out, but he loves everyone... or pick any one of the hundreds if not thousands of contradictions... How do they square their beliefs with reality? I don't know it is shocking to me, but somehow they do, they are walking contradictions who think they know the word of God and anyone else is wrong. And yeah, I definitely think there are more of these kinds of people than you think there are...God is perfect, but he's jealous... Why don't fundamentalists own slaves, and sell women? Or marry at 9 years old?
I'd also like you to take a look at these:Are you aware that majority of politicians are devil worshipers? ↗The Nostradamus Effect and the third anti-Christ ↗The 10 commandments statue was destroyed and replaced with a Satanic statue? ↗Yes, I like to ridicule these things...
I'm not familiar enougu with the Bible to agree or disagree, but if what you said is true, you're absolutely right about the contradictions. I can't see someone stoning someone to death and loving them simultaneously. But I know that most Christians nowadays, I'd imagine this doesn't include the fundamentalists you were referring to, don't supporting stoning people to death. Not to mention, didn't the pope say the Bible was a guideline, not a factual book? I heard he accepts homosexuality and acknowledges and agrees with the theory of evolution.
Yeah the new Pope is a huge step forward. Here are some quotes from the Bible, the same place it says to love thy neighbour.Deuteronomy 21:18-21“If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they discipline him, will not listen to them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, and they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This our son is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones. So you shall purge the evil from your midst, and all Israel shall hear, and fear.Leviticus 24:16 Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him. The sojourner as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.Leviticus 20:13If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.Leviticus 20:27 “A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”Deuteronomy 22:23-24“If there is a betrothed virgin, and a man meets her in the city and lies with her, then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones, the young woman because she did not cry for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbor's wife. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
The pope is for Catholics only though
Ok that wasn't what my question was about though, he is holding it upside down and backwards.
Bad timing or he didn't notice. He is not a devil worshipper. That's ridiculous.
Do you think he is a good Christian?I am an Atheist so I am just making light of Stephen King's hilarious tweet.
I never even knew he was Christian. I don't really care what religion he is. People make too big of a deal out of everything he does. What difference does it make if he picked up a book upside down? It happened to me. It doesn't mean I hate the author or the subject. Maybe he was nervous and didn't notice the way he picked it up. What difference does it make?
It doesn't, I'm making fun of the situation.
