If you had asked this question in 2019, I would have said Trump, but his incompetence has elevated greatly this year.Trump in 2020 is so reminiscent of Carter in 1979 and 1980:1) Three Mile Island in March 19792) Gasoline lines and gasoline rationing - people were lining up for hours and miles to get gasoline3) The fall of the Shah of Iran leading to Iran Hostage Crisis with Iran beginning that November, and ending that December with the Soviet invasion in Afghanistan. Carter then led the west in boycotting the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.4) The general malaise because inflation for another year was still not under control.Life in the USA 40 years ago was practically an invitation for Reagan to get elected.Well, 2020 is looking for Trump just like 1980 was for Carter.I don't think the Electoral College is going to bail out Trump this time unless Biden fucks up - which is a real possibility.
i don't know whitey, black people writ large are more pro police than you might think. they know the vast majority of black deaths are from other black people
i don't think you can blame trump for the virus or the riots. and our response to the virus in per capita numbers is excellent. way less per capita deaths than other countries
@007kingifrit Well, as I learned today, it's getting even worse for Trump.Even evangelical Christians are beginning to bail on him...TITLE: Trump’s Approval Slips Where He Can’t Afford to Lose It: Among EvangelicalsSUBTITLE: Polls and private concerns from top social conservatives show the president’s standing with the cornerstone of his base isn’t what it used to be. A photo op with the Bible was supposed to help fix that.www.nytimes.com/.../...hristians-evangelicals.htmlPresident Trump needs every vote he got from white evangelicals in 2016 — and then some. Hoisting a Bible in the air may not be enough.Unnerved by his slipping poll numbers and his failure to take command of the moral and public health crises straining the country, religious conservatives have expressed concern in recent weeks to the White House and the Trump campaign about the president’s political standing.Their rising discomfort spilled out into the open this week when the founder of the Christian Coalition, Pat Robertson, scolded the president for taking such a belligerent tone as the country erupted in sorrow and anger over the police killing of an unarmed black man, George Floyd, in Minneapolis.=====(more)
TITLE: Trump Campaign Looks at Electoral Map and Doesn’t Like What It SeesSUBTITLE: As polls show President Trump significantly trailing his rival, Joseph R. Biden Jr., his campaign is spending heavily in states, like Ohio, that it had hoped would not be competitive at all this year.www.nytimes.com/.../...n-virus-protests-polls.htmlPresident Trump is facing the bleakest outlook for his re-election bid so far, with his polling numbers plunging in both public and private surveys and his campaign beginning to worry about his standing in states like Ohio and Iowa that he carried by wide margins four years ago....Mr. Trump has been consistently unpopular as president with a majority of Americans; his advisers have long seen his effort to win a new term as depending on the loyalty of his conservative base and the Republican-friendly tilt of the Electoral College — factors that could allow the president to capture another thin victory despite the strong possibility of losing the popular vote again. But amid the human and economic devastation of the coronavirus pandemic and now a wave of demonstrations and social unrest in American cities, Mr. Trump has fallen significantly behind his Democratic challenger, Joseph R. Biden Jr.In private polling conducted by Mr. Trump’s campaign, the president is now well behind Mr. Biden, according to people briefed on the most recent round of results. ...
you shouldn't be reading the new york times its not a trustworthy source
@007kingifrit I don't trust the NYT's opinion pieces. It's news pieces are fine. It's hard to accuse quotes as being fake news. If they were, them there would be libel lawsuits everywhere.Responsible media do due diligence.Irresponsible readers don't.From that last article......“There is no obvious strategy in terms of message,” said Rob Stutzman, a Republican strategist based in California. “The president defaults to base messages regardless of strategy, thus the campaign becomes a base-driven campaign.”...Like many Republicans, including top officials in Mr. Trump’s campaign and administration, Mr. Stutzman, the strategist, saw the president’s impulses as a largely unfixable problem: “He’s too defective to have any other strategy than to be who he is,” Mr. Stutzman said....So, if Republican Strategist Stutzman's quotes were fake:1) Stutzman would say so.2) The conservative media would be broadcasting that as the lead story because it would give them a chance to attack the New York Times.3) Stutzman would file a libel lawsuit.Since none of that hasn't happened, Stutzman's quotes aren't "fake news".Look, I am a scientist.I am not interested in whatever I want the truth to be.I am interested in what the truth is.This is why I do due diligence.
te nyt is fake news through and through news or otherwiseand it is almost impossible to sue a news outlet for libel even if its an outright lie. you need to prove several things1. it was done with malicious intent 2. it was not an opinion of the author stated as an opinion (just because it isn't an opinion piece doesn't matter) 3. the publication legally considers itself news (rachel maddow got out of a lawsuit last week by claiming "i'm not news, i'm entertainment) it is almost impossible to sue for libel in america
@007kingifrit OK, good luck with that.
what did trump say on Monday? send in the troops? over 80% of americans agree with that so that won't hurt him
@007kingifrit Yeah that was what he said. The problem with doing that is the whole Passe Comme Tatus Act (I undoubtedly butchered the spelling on that); where you can't have troops policing American citizens.
no you're confused. the law you are citing does not make it illegal to deploy troops in a riot. they just can't be used as normal everyday cops

Because you just get a different puppet, cretin...
i don't think donald trump is anyone's puppet, he has kept or tried to keep every campaign promise he made
@007kingifrit I'm looking at as an outsider, but all he seems to have done, is to cause trouble. He seems to to have strange friend ships in foreign leaders. And Biden, has a lot of question marks about him..That's why I answered earlier...
you can't really watch from the outside our media lies they only want to make every scenario sound bad so if you're watching corporate news of any kind you are being misled
@007kingifrit usually the BBC, CNN RT. and couple of other foreign channels. It makes no difference to me who's in the big chair. But there is no need to get offensive , just because some comes up with a different answer to you...
all the channels you just named are wildly pro globalist corporate outlets. you can't learn from them
