So, Asian lives don't matter? Why should I, as an Asian, care about black people?
@NerdInDenial How is this any different from trying to distract from the issue?
I just want to know why as an Asian I should support this cause?
@NerdInDenial Well how about this then. Putting aside the issue with black people dying and how "Asian lives" literally does not have anything to do with this and would not help the situation of black people dying.Lets just talk about you. What are your values? I personally believe that everyone has the right to life, health and the pursuit of happiness as well as equality. I do not need to care about black people in particular to think they should have equality because that is my core philosophy. Does not matter how much I like you or hate you I still think you deserve equality. That is my beliefs that I build my whole worldview on.What do you believe in?
That's the whole point. If no one cares about Asians, then I don't see a point, as an Asian, to support this cause. When you have black people attacking Asians and the cops or anyone else doing anything, there's no point for the Asian community to support BLM.
@NerdInDenial So you only care about benefits? I do not. I believe in values. I do not need to personally benefit from something to know its the right thing and I do not care if it puts me at an inherent disadvantage either. I do things because its the right thing, period.
Where's your outrage for black on Asian crimes?
@NerdInDenial In the same place where my outrage for crimes against black people is. I make no distinctions in this regard.
But there's no movement against things like this and no one has spoken about it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sJX2TA2Hpc
Yeah, there's no movement telling black people to stop hating on Asians.
Black people care only about black people; so, for me, there is no vested interest.
@NerdInDenial If there is no movement telling black people to stop hating on Asians its probably because both sides have bigger issues to focus on.
Again, Asians don't matter...
@NerdInDenial Yet Asians got money and an official apology from the President which is more than Blacks get today.
Who got the money and who gave the apology?
@NerdInDenial The state gave the money to effected parties or their children and the president sent letters.
Again, Who? which state?
@NerdInDenial Not the states, the people.
I didn't receive no mother fucking check
@NerdInDenial Others have done.
so all Asians are Japanese?
@NerdInDenial No but all Japanese are Asians.
So you just care about Japanese people, right? racist... how about the Chinese?
@NerdInDenial I just pointed out that USA has cared more about Asians than they have about Black people. Trying to imply that I am a racist for being correct does not speak well of your debating skills.
You did not prove anything just nearly that the US wronged the Japanese and assumed all Asians are Japanese. You implying your debate skills shows your bigotry and your inherent supremacy.
Also, you ignore the Chinese Exclusion Act and the Coronavirus actions from the black community on the Asian community. You are racist because you just pick and choose to elevate certain races.
@NerdInDenial No I made the point that I base my beliefs on my values and treat everyone equally. You said you dont care about black people because they supposedly do not care about you. You then went on to whine about how there were no movements for Asians which I disproved by showing you one at which point you started whining about how "Asians" does not matter at which point I mentioned how the US government literally gave every Asian they wronged during ww2 or their family 20 000 dollars and a letter signed by the president asking for forgiveness which is more than black people has gotten. This is the point where you started accusing me of being a racist for actually having facts on my side and debunking your petty arguments but you know what? Perhaps the reason why no one cares about you is because you are trying to play victim of racism for losing an internet argument where as black people claim they are victims because they are being murdered by the police. Just a thought really.
That's the point some will argue Black people have been playing the victim for the longest time.
More Black people are killed by other black people.
@NerdInDenial Oh stop being such a pussy.
Now, you're calling me a pussy. So, you're just a hypocrite.
You just demeaned your whole intellectual point of view by going to name calling.
@NerdInDenial "Intellectual point"? An intellectual point is by no means supported on my own credibility or reputation, they stand on their own merits. I could be the biggest liar, the most hated person in the world and deliver it in the worst possible way but truth is always truth and that can't be denied while maintaining intellectual integrity. The fact that you even insinuated that means you are already intellectually dishonest. Nice self owning.
Oh Please, you just showed that you favor only certain races and ignore things that are against the narrative. You are not inclusive because you support black lives matter and race is an issue. Instead of saying everyone's lives matter including black, Asian, white, etc, you just focus on a particular race. That's why you are racist. You act holier than though, but your "facts" are just biased.
The truth is focusing on only a group of people because of race vice a policy change i. e. reforming the police only leads to division on race riots. People will not unite under this.
@NerdInDenial No that is just factually untrue. can't say I am surprised. Your first reply to me was "Why shoud I, as an Asian, care about black people?". This question alone shows me how morally and intellectually bankrupt you are.
That's the thing you don't know where I stand. I bring race up because that's the natural response to a racially inclusive organization like BLM. It only focuses on black lives. So, how is it not a valid question?
I'm demonstrating that your route only leads division. People are inherently selfish and will want something for doing something. So, what would the benefit be for a community that neither trusts black people nor the police?
@NerdInDenial Complete bullshit. That question should not even exist, as in the answer is obvious to any healthy and functional person. It does not matter if you are selfish or not you still reach the same conclusion yet you did not manage that. That speaks volumes about you as a person.
How is it bullshit? Do you not agree that all lives matter? Just because I do not agree with you makes me unhealthy? How are you going to win people over with that type of attitude?
Let's say I'm a flawed person, how would just helping black lives improve my life?
@NerdInDenial You just said that you do not care about black people. Hypocrite.
My previous statements are to show you what type of conversation you would have by exclusively focusing on race.
@NerdInDenial No, you specifically told me that you do not have any reasons to care about black people.
Should I care when black people hurt one another so often? Should they not take care of one another?
@NerdInDenial Yes you should care. This speaks a lot about your character and quite frankly you might be one of the worst people I have spoken to in my entire life.
Why should I care?
when black people don't care about other black people
If I am the worst person you have ever spoken to, then you have had a very nice life.
@NerdInDenial Yes dig your hole even further down, I am sure you will hit bedrock at some point. Also yes I have lived a pretty good life but you misunderstand me. I have certainly meet people who have done worse things. Killers, rapists and such things. However.. I put you below them. Sure they might be complete psychopaths but you on the other hand is both a psychopath and a complete idiot.I said it before did I not? It does not matter how selfish or not you are, the answer to why you should "care about black people" is the same because it just makes logical sense. Since you can't even come to that logical conclusion that is not looking good for you.
Alright, thanks for the no answer! For the record I believe in all lives matter and that focusing on a person's race just leads to division. You enjoy living in your echo chamber and biased world where you dismiss other's concerns. Most importantly, I know you are not doing anything to improve black lives matter because you are just all talk.
@NerdInDenial I rather live in an echo chamber than whatever factually defunct universe you come from.
You mean Earth where there will always be chaos?
@NerdInDenial Well at least back here on earth we have an easy answer to "Why should I, as an X care about Y people?"
This is more of an accurate depiction:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QyYaPWasos
So, you want to start race riots?
@NerdInDenial No but people like you seam to want it.
Your perspective will lead to it because it's not inclusive.
@NerdInDenial Says the person who can't even care about other people because they are of a different ethnicity. Just go. You have lost.
I rather told you for the record that all lives matter and the previous points I have mentioned is to show you what to expect in your future race wars.
win or lose, I have exposed who you are: a closeted racist.
@NerdInDenial No, I have exposed you as a racist and someone who uses strawman arguments. Lets talk about inclusion. My very first comment to this question of yours described through the use of an analogy how black lives matters is not a movement for divisiveness but a movement to include black lives into the whole.Your whole argument of divisiveness and how I make a distinction for race and am a racist has been nothing but you committing fallacy after fallacy. Your whole conversation has been a waste of time because you can't even identify what I stand for.
No, you just believe that only black lives matter and when I bring up Asian issues, they are not important. Can not be argued as believing that black lives are more important than Asian lives? All lives matter includes black lives.
Can that not be argued that black lives are more important than Asian lives?*
@NerdInDenial Keep going. If you dig long enough you will perhaps dig yourself out of the other side of the planet.
Being a racist would mean that I think Asians are superior than black lives, which is not true. No race is superior and no race is important.
Alright Mr. RAcist...
@NerdInDenial That is not what racism means.. at all.. Thanks for reminding me that you dont know what a dictionary is and that you are, indeed, a racist.
rac·ist/ˈrāsəst/Learn to pronouncenounnoun: racist; plural noun: racists a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another. "the comments have led to her being called a racist"
@NerdInDenial Strictly speaking that is not what it means. It is fundamentally about the belief that there is an inherent difference between races.https://www.dictionary.com/browse/racisma belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human racial groups determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/racismthe belief that people's qualities are influenced by their race and that the members of other races are not as good as the members of your own, or the resulting unfair treatment of members of other raceshttps://www.britannica.com/topic/racismhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RacismYou have made it quite clear that you think that different races are different from each other. I do not believe they are any different at all and this is supported by facts and science. The fact that you believe there is a meaningful difference between races makes you a racist.
No, mine definition came from Google's definition of racist. You believe Blacks are more important than Asians making you racist.
Inherently saying people are different because of ethnicity is not racist, but believing one is superior to another is. You supporting BLM and focusing only on Black lives inherently shows that you think black lives are important than others. Therefore, you are racist.
@NerdInDenial Well you are wrong. How does that feel?
Nobody's changing their minds then... Good day!
