It's not a good thing to have elected judges. I can't think of any democracy that does have any elected judges, except for the United States.

it's not necessarily that he can pick them. i get it, he picks one from a bunch of justices, but, the point is, why does only the president do that. why don't the American people, get to just one judge, from a bunch of judges?
and yeah, i def. agree with the second part. why should supreme court justices have lifetime terms, while everyone else, essentially doesn't
