In the United States men are required to register for selective service and women aren’t. Men are sent to war to die. Women aren’t. One man dies due to a police officer and radicals burn down cities. Millions of men die due to women voting for people that send men to war and no one cares. You can’t get more oppressive than death you big retard.
@BeMuse hey, why so angry? I asked you politely, there is absolutely no need to insult me. Both men and women vote for war-mongering politicians. I don't think that riots due to a man's death are male oppression either. The draft in America, however, is a very good point that you make. I am not American and in my country there is no draft. In terms of the United States military however, I think a good solution would be to make signing up for the draft mandatory for all those who meet the physical requirements (men and women). I agree that forcing only men to fight is unfair, but it is due to the fact that combat roles in the United States military have been restricted by gender under the jurisdiction of the men in charge up until very recently. And many men (especially those serving in the military) vehemently opposed that decision, which sends a bit of a mixed message as to whether they want women involved or not. Although women have fought and died in wars before and will again (I know the numbers are incomparable), you have to acknowledge that the vast majority of these wars are started and kept going by men. And in recent wars, there has been no need to draft soldiers, all those involved chose that career path. So given that the military and the politics surrounding it are led and dominated by men sending other men to their deaths, I think that whilst unfair, war does not qualify as gender-based oppression.
Actually if you know anything about this country, you might have heard of the national organization for women (NOW) they voted against including women in the draft, they voted against abolishing the draft, they vote against bodily autonomy for men, they vote against equal shared parenting.. And most of all, it's the largest feminist organization on the planet.. By your logic you are saying women don't have a voice at all when voting.. Of course you're not from here so you don't speak from a place of experience..
As far as war mongering and men.. Some of the most bloody leaders in history were women. Just look at the last two centuries and the female monarchs that ruled Britain.. But please live in your rose colored fish bowl where men are bad, and women can do no wrong.
@Asker I have to acknowledge that I haven't heard of that organisation, but they do sound bonkers. I did not mean that men are war-mongering, I meant that politicians who are are voted in by both men and women. My logic was not based around women not having a voice in voting but that men vote for these motions too. As for the fish bowl... Seriously. How is it even possible to seduce that men=bad women=good from my comment?
