Do people who protest black lives matter truly believe in the cause, because the protests hurt black lives, even killed, yet people keep protesting?

I feel like at this point they are doing it more for themselves. To be a part of something, to make themselves feel like they are making a difference. Post a pic on instagram to show ''look at me, Im at a protest, Im such a hero''. Meanwhile all those protests have done is just damage, make people more angry, they are hurt and even killed. They started this to get justice for one black life, and ignore the fact that way more black lives have been hurt, even killed thanks to their rioting. And howcome BLM only protects black lives when its thanks to police brutality form a white officer? A lot more black lives, not criminals, but innocent good people get taken by other black people. So if black lives matter, shouldn't they also focus on causes that take more lives?David Dorn, a 77-year-old retired police captain, was shot and killed after responding to an alarm at a pawnshop in St. Louis. He was protecting the area which had been struck by looting due to recent “protests” over the death of George Floyd. According to a witness, Dorn was shot outside of the store by someone stealing a flat-screen TV.
