Regardless of the colour of your skin, or the brilliance or otherwise of your analysis, I'm not sure people actually want to discuss real issues and their root causes.
Well people do tend to avoid sencitive topics... I think your point is kind of weak... Concidering this is a site to ask questions... And it was specificaly an answer to a question someone asked... So obveously people are asking about this topic to be analyzed... Unless you mean in a general since then yes there are several groups of people that would rather not being up topics to work on them due to social standard... So in that regard I compleatly agreeBut there are still people pushing to bring up and resolve these issues
... Or were u saying my answer was to in-depth and all that was needed was a "yes or no" reply xDSorry that's also compleatly possible
You gave a detailed and considered response. I wasn't criticising you.Rather I was lamenting that, at least sometimes, such a response would fall on deaf ears as people just want to vent.
Oh, well that's also true. Some people don't want a solution they just want to bitch. I deffinatly see your point there

The issue isn't the statement itself. Of course black lives matter... Any one that dosent think so can go die on a ditch... But the issue (I believe) is that it seperates the blacks from every one else still. I know it's a bit of an odd example but... The joke.. If the band is called "Alvin and the Chipmunks" dose that mean Alvin isn't a chipmunk himself? So if the slogan is "black lives matter" dose that mean Hispanic lives don't? I know that that's not what it means... But by saying specificaly "black" lives matter... They themselvs are separating themselves from everyone else. And if I've learned anything it's that if people can be defined as a separate group then people will find a reason to hate them
@jadspop Of course its perhaps not the best slogan ever devised but how does that separate black people more than they already are? I mean for starters some separation is actually needed to fix the problem because this is a unique problem for minorities and black people especially. If you want to get anything done you actually need to do something in the first place so just saying "all lives matter" does not necessarily help at all.
I agree with the 'all lives matter. And there's deffinatly room to debate how seperated they already are. I agree, doing nothing dosent help. I have a feeling the truth lies somewhere between the 2. My explination wasn't nesicarily the logical idea but the way people may view the situation. So in short your right... Saying a slogan intended to reduce the punishment towards a group shouldn't cause problems and you mention a few good reasons. But in actuality human nature is stupid. People do dumb things... That's pretty much my excuse...
Oh ffs - open your eyes and see the bigger picture. This is a "class" war disguised as racism. Turn off the mainstream media claptrap and look deeper.
Oh, Jesus Christ.I could see 40 years ago how the GOP was going to fuck everything up and they have successfully done just that.
If you say ALM, you don't believe BLM
False. Neither contradicts the other. That is your own assumption.
NopeIt's the truth
