Ah your in the Netherlands that why we get into so many argument lol I tend to think most people here are Americans. The way it works in the United States is the federal government wouldn’t pay the cities debt, on a federal level they don’t like paying states debt, New York State and California because there trying to be like the Netherlands are in massive debt. (My guess it has to do with population since California is double the population and New York is similar but have a lot less tax New York has raised the taxes and the rich people who paid 50% of the states taxes left the state). The likelihood in this case is they will settle for much much less out of court probably around 50 million , honestly I hope he gets the 3 billion because seattle budget is 6.5 billion and they have more law suits coming because of the riots that keep happening.
From what I understand the kid was braking the law because he had a gun and shot the 18 year old who killed him the 18 year old lives, If the father raised him right he wouldn’t have been in chaz in the first place. Everyone in chaz was trigger happy and wanted to kill anyone who they didn’t know personally yes 3 billion is absurd the only reason I hope he gets it is to humiliate the city further since they allowed communist to take over 5-10 city blocks (I can’t remeber the exact number) and wouldn’t allow cops or medical personnel to come into the area, I personally think they deserve to pay the guy 3 billion without a settlement because that’s Literally have to budget your budget is 6.5 billion. And they still have to deal with lawsuits form the store owner who got there store ps destroyed in the riots and the take over The two cities are definitely need to be humiliated beyond repair is Portland and Seattle

I agree but she’s not the main problem it’s the city council the is the main problem especially sawant she told SeaTac police officers to shoot the federal officer if they enforced trump travel ban the entire city government is a problem
Probably not, I do hope he gets it I want seattle to be humiliated beyond repair, beyond that, does it set a precedent if he actually win the 3 billion? What happens to the people living in the city are they forced to pay more taxes considering that’s Literally half of the cities budget
