Specifically dramatically cutting regulations which tie the hands of American businesses and reduce their competitiveness globally. Also, I'm not sure being a lifelong politician is a positive thing.I do have respect for my country which is why I'm carefully deliberating this instead of making a knee-jerk decision.
Ironically, he probably is your father's republican. The Republicans in the 1980s wouldn't stand a chance as Republican candidates, today. On the other hand, the alternative is the destruction of democracy in America.
@goaded In Alaska it does have that 1980s conservative feel today. It has a more bush sir republican vibe than anything close to the lower 48 today. That's why lisa murkowski is always on the short list of republican senators opposing the don. I don't necessarily like it but can respect it.
Also as much trumpies like to say that Biden wants to increase the tax on everyone that is false, he has said he wants to increase tax on the overly wealthy and decrease taxes on the poor and middle class.

Who pays for "free' college tuition and dismissing student loans? Who keeps me protected when the police aren't funded? I happen to believe our history is what it is and erasing it is a mistake. Easier policies with China? What does that even mean?
To understand the Democrat's policies, as well as Black-Lives-Matter policies, one needs to be "Woke."If you aren't "Woke" you won't be able to understand. If you want to be "Woke" I recommend dating a third-wave feminist and actually listen and understand what she is saying.
LOL. I find it funny how you're speculating how Biden's America will be by using Trump's America as the example.
@Starrk Trump’s people are not calling for defunding police, allowing illegal barricades where they shoot children, skyrocketing crime as police stand down... and people leaving in drives for safer areas. After the election Trump will stop the nonsense but Democrats never will because the far left progressives will be running the show.
Trump isn't stopping anything because he's too busy fanning the flames of division. His entire shtick is predicated on divisiveness, fear, and promoting an "us vs them" mentality. A great deal of the violence during those protests wasn't just people being mad at the police but was done in response to Trump's lack of leadership and his strongarm approach to people's grievances. If Trump couldn't stop the violence in May, June, July, August, and September, what makes you think he'll magically succeed post-election? Sounds to me like more empty promises.
@Starrk So, if I understand you correctly, people rioted and burned and killed because Trump did nothing... but he did strong arm things... I am confused. Wouldn’t it be best if the rioters did nothing too and simply voted?
A strongarm approach is not how you handle protests where people are protesting what they perceive to be social injustice. You don't threaten protesters with the military or calling for the police to DOMINATE them. You don't use tear gas and have the police hit peaceful protestors and reporters with batons so they can clear a path for you to have a photo op in front of a church with an upside-down Bible. And you most certainly don't quell anger from protestors by getting on Twitter sprouting far-right wing conspiracies about the protest from OANN. Trump did a poor job in handling these protests. Every time he opened his mouth he somehow managed to increase the temperature across the entire country.
@Starrk The Mayor’s did a poor job in handling these riots. You aren’t fooling anyone, the riots were first, the looting next and then the killings. All while the democratic Mayors did nothing but defund the police and have then stand down. Own it. Everyone knows.
The blame falls on everyone from Mayors, county officials, Governors, and the President. No one isn't denying that there isn't blame to go around, but to sit here and absolve Trump of any wrongdoing in how he contributed in making these protests worst would be the world's biggest lie. Had Obama been in office and employed the exact same tactics and used the exact same rhetoric that Trump did in dealing with the protest, I can assure you Republicans would be calling for him to resign from office.
Trump supporters now hate his judges because one voted for make it illegal to fired anyone gay or transgender
I plan on voting for who will be the best President, not who I personally think it's a better person.
That same argument holds for me voting for my brother-in-law and he's a worthless pos. What would Biden offer that's better?
Worst president ever who is a total disaster v. s. biden. It's not a hard choice to make. quit overthinking it.
I know what I'm getting with Trump. I don't agree with everything he's done but he's done plenty of good things too. I'm not willing to vote for an unknown wildcard to see what happens. Biden needs to earn my vote by offering something Better than Trump. So far, I haven't seen what that could be.
It's up to 193,000, and in a couple of days the US will overtake Italy (remember how well they managed it, at the start?) in number of deaths per million population. Other countries learned and managed the pandemic, the US... not so much. Americans are dying at the rate of several airline crashes a day, and have been for months.
I put this on Governors more than I do on Trump. Governors set the policies for their states and the primary responses to the pandemic have been put in place at the state and local level.
Why? Shouldn't the federal government be setting the standard? The states that were being hit hardest at the beginning have got it largely under control; what's different about the states that have failed to learn the lessons of the last six months? They didn't lock down, they didn't mandate masks in enclosed spaces, or they relaxed their restrictions before the virus was manageable again. And they were mostly Republican (although California's not doing all that well).
What? That makes no sense.
Trump has been denying Covid and doing nothing to help. How has that affected business in America?
It helps business more than shutting every small business down across America.
I think the rest of the world shows its better to flatten the curve before reopening the economy.
Please re-read the question. I didn't ask why I shouldn't vote for Trump. I asked why I should vote for Biden.
You are far from the first to draw a blank. I honestly have yet to find a person that can give me a compelling reason to vote for Biden. Instead it's always a list of grievances against Trump.
This was a political question, not a place for stand up comedy
I wish it was comedy but its not it's what will happen
What about climate change?
