But for decent men who want equality It doesn't have any costWhy do people think that equality harms men in general
That’s why it’s important to only associate with men who don’t see gender equality as a threat.
Wow, that's pretty insulting as to generalize us as controlling oppressors. Equality doesn't come at a cost for either gender, you're just making it seem like it does. Making misandrist statements that have no logic attached to them is pretty shitty.
I’m not generalizing anyone. I said, “for the men who.” If that’s not you turn what I said doesn’t apply.
I see, my bad, your comment sounded different for me.
It’s understandable. Just take your time reading what is there next time.

Alcoholism and suicide its men fault
I advocate for personal responsibility but to pretend that the external world doesn't play a factor in our daily lifes is just silly. You didn't address what I said at all and you definitely didn't give any supportive reasoning. Take your anti human bullshit elsewhere
@Feminity100 Not true. You're just blaming men's issues on them when it's more in-depth than that. Don't be so sanctimonious, don't forget we can say alcoholism and suicide is women's fault too because according to your logic it is. This goes both ways. Your argument is impotent and addresses and supports nothing at all. Quit it with your misandry and blowing off men's issues as if they're nothing important.
@john0372 well spoken
Feminism is for womenMen should speak for their own problems
Feminism is equality for the genders so it is by deffinition not just for women. Current feminism is for men, women, LGBTQ, etc.
@Feminity100 "Feminism is for women"That's kinda my point, it's not about equality, it's about womens rights so people should stop saying it is.Sure they should and do, but as the world has moved on places. The problem is that social programs are a huge industry and I see many places demonise the other side because they don't want to share that sweet, sweet grant money. @mich15smith Feminism is the advocation of womens rights based on equality between the genders. Here's what I mean about that grant money. Feminism is a brand and as such trying to get its hands in as many places as possible. I do not believe that sexism, racism and homophobia are the same, sure just as destructive and horrible but they are different issues with different causes and different solutions. Putting them all together is just a lazy way of pretending that you care about these issues without doing the leg work.
*As the world has moved on places where men can speak on their own have become few and far between in the name of equality.
I don't know man but feminists fought for the equal rights amendment which would help equalize custody of kids, make women eligible for the draft, and likely help change the legal definition of rape to apply to men and women.
Feminists also fought for tender years so maybe they should fix their mistake.Honestly I highly doubt that, when judges will force a child who is saying she is being abused to go to her abusers just because it's the mother. It doesn't matter how many laws you put in place when there's no reason for people to follow them.
you think thoes judges are feminists? they give the kids to the mom even if she is bad because their sexist worldview says that women raise the kids not men.
No, but the seeds were placed by feminist. No women getting custody isn't the old way, hence Tender Years Doctorate advocating that during the younger years a childs best place was with the mother. If you want to go with the patriarchy thing then history is women give birth to the mans child. Before tender years the child went to the provider which was not the woman. That's my main issue with feminism, it gives you a lense to look through and if somethings wrong its patriarchys fault. No women were never the primary care givers until feminists demanded it.
first wave maybe and thats because of the fact that until then children were property, third wave wants to diminish gender roles so people are free to live their lives the way they want as long as they aren't infringing on the rights of others.
So you agree that you were wrong when you insinuated that women being the primary caregivers therefore being given custody. It's interesting that you are aiding with third wave and dismissing first and/or second, most people are the opposite.Gender is stupid, it means type. It was never meant to have any attachment to sex appart from a euphemism for prudes who didn't want to use the word sex.
im not dismissing first and second im just saying that society has advanced. They served their purpose and now its time to advance
No your side stepping, your original point was about feminism fighting for custody for men, I pointed out that it was feminists that caused this issue and you are now saying it's not third wave feminism fault, I pointed out third wave feminism is the most hated of all.To me feminism is an MP laughing when another MP mentions they should have a talk that men are killing themselves. It's the condescending hateful movement that wants to blame men for everything. Are you admitting you were wrong when you said that historically children went to the parents and that's why custody for men is how it is, because it's not it was feminism that did that because it's about advocating for women not equality. At the end of the day the feminists with the power use that power to help themselves. Not women, not men, not gay people just themselves. Then try to guilt the rest in to their selfish plans.
What? I'm saying there are many steps on the road to equality. First, kids were property and the father had them exclusivly, then early feminists appealed to how women were supposed to be nurturing to change custody laws, and now modern feminists are trying to create a more egalitarian custody system for a long time now.
The ones with the power aren't, they're using the emotive issue to push their own gains. You made the claim that history saw women as the care givers now you're back tracking.Individual feminist may be fighting for equality but they are wrong.
The fact that everything these days is polarised has made a very evil version of feminism. People can't even be friends now if they disagree, the tribalism that has arisen has just made everything a struggle to come to common ground.
I can't tell if that was a passive-aggressive insult or empathy... Although I suppose text makes that harder than face-to-face talking.
