So it’s just a few select states?
Yes I wonder if my state (NY) will make it illegal if they can?
You can be pretty sure NY wouldn’t
Why not if they could get away with it?
Because their population would probably not like it. That you can does not imply that you do.
It’s so close to Canada it would probably be a waste of time to legislate it you are probably correct.
I don’t want abortion to be illegal I would have to pay taxes for foster care
Often it is not legal to leave your country/state to carry out an illegal procedure elsewhere
I don’t think that would apply in US law just not in an illegal state. You can travel it’s too mobile a country.
Abortion doesn’t really get federal protection or tax money the Hyde amendment. They can make it illegal in like Texas, Florida, California, was or New York though.
"Really"? The U. S. Supreme Court says otherwise
What does it mean to say it doesn't REALLY get protection?
It either does or doesn't
What's with the "really" part?
The Hyde amendment means no tax money goes to abortion legally. That’s not very protected to me. I mean they can’t make it illegal because of Roe v Wade but I wouldn’t call that protection.
The abortion industry in the US is definitely neglected by the government probably more than any industry besides the sex industry like prostitution.
That's crazyHow the hell did you come up with the idea that protection means financial support?
What states are run by liberals?
Cali and Ny. And most money making states.
No they can’t
Yes, they can. A federal law applies to all states.
Given that 80% of Americans support abortion in at least limited circumstances, AND the precedent before Row v. Wade for states to regulate their own rules, I can guarantee that you will never see legislation banning abortion federally.
Yes but would the big states like Florida, ny, Cali, Texas, make it illegal? I wonder especially wonder about New York my state.
