There is of course no proof of this claim. But it is sad that if the other politicians paid so much in taxes that they are using their office to get rich. They are supposed to be working full time for we the people, not working to get rich!!! Thanks for illuminating that fact!!!
Lol Google is by no means proof of anything. Google is a reference tool not always factual. It references and finds what is posted on the internet it in no way proves that it is factual.
I don’t care
That's obvious. So as I said no proof. Have a beautiful day. Keep smiling.
So as I said proof. Where is your proof that Trump didn’t pay $750 in 2016 and 2017? You don’t have any
Innocent until proven guilty. I love the USA. In this country one has to be proven guilty not proven innocent. And I won't even call you clueless.
You are welcome.
It must be a miserable life having so much hate.My motto, don't worry be happy.
Woah, for real? 😂 That's a good reason he should go
Just a theory, no solid proof. Don't worry, President Trump will go in November... he will go back to the White House for 4 more years.
NooooRIP democracy 🙁
What does this tell you? If you have any business sense at all it says that the above Democrats made their money via "ordinary income" which is the most heavily taxed of any income. Getting paid by ordinary income means you don't own a business, don't have a payroll to make, don't have capex for maintaining a business, etc. Ordinary income means someone just stroked a check to you... probably for a commencement speech or some other gibberish. Trump invests in real estate which is a business that allows for depreciation, capex, and a plethora of other deductions. Don't criticise someone because they don't pay a lot on taxes, celebrate their business savvy.
@KingJared24 Go TRUMP! FOUR MORE YEARS! How's that buttercup? Ready for a safe space?
A therapist just got a new patient.
@KingJared24 MAGA baby! You know what slick? I wasn't a big Trump fan at all UNTIL left-wing CUCKS like you showed your real colors. Trump standing up to the crazy-left has been the best thing for this country in decades. Suck it dandelion.
You amuse me.
@GothRose2 Come on girl. If Democracy can survive Obama it can survive Trump.
Because:Biden , Warren, Sanders, and Harris don't really work and all that income was stolen with taxes. Where as Trump worked 20 hours a day and couldn't make money in a liberal state.
@KingJared24 Name calling is an admission of defeat.
@allaboutyou2 so when will Trump finally release his taxes and prove us wrong? EVERY OTHER PRESIDENT IN HISTORY RELEASED THEIR TAXES! He has hidden it for 4 years behind the IRS audit bullshit excuse. Please, point to the law which stops him from releasing tax information while being under audit... THERE IS NONE! He is arbitrarily deciding not to reveal his taxes, why? The democrats wouldn't be able to attack him like this if he just released his tax records like every other president has done.
@888theGreat you're cute, but how about some evidence for those claims? As @allaboutyou2 pointed out, this is a country of innocent until proven guilty, please prove Trump worked 20 hour days, and that Biden, Warren, Sanders, and Harris don't really work and stole their money from the tax payers? I'll wait.
@KrakenAttackin You say we should celebrate Trump evading his taxes? You think we should celebrate TAX EVASION? Seriously? Do you want a society where everybody pays $750 per year as their income tax? Of course not, so shut the fuck up and stop defending this man abusing the system to pay less in taxes. Tax evasion is a crime, so you're celebrating a criminal. Finally, when Obama was president, Trump attacked him for paying a little over 20% income tax and therefore not paying his fair share, so Trump is a hypocritical tax evader.
@devilman666 Wow, you are fucking clueless. You are just another useful idiot of the left. You have no understanding of taxes, finance, or business. Go back to shoving gerbils up your ass.
@KrakenAttackin lol I clearly have no understanding of taxes if this is legal, because I don't know any way I could get away with paying $750 annual income tax without going to prison for tax evasion, and I work minimum wage. You telling me he used legal tax excemptions for all of that? Obama used every legal tax evasion method available to him and still payed 20.5% of his income in 2012, Yet Trump pays less than 1% of his income (his income from his golf courses alone is over 200 million per year)? That's some shady shit and you know it! THAT CALCULATES TO 0.0004% OF HIS INCOME FROM JUST GOLF COURSES ALONE. It's tax evasion, plain and simple, nobody pays so little taxes without tax evasion. If I tried to pay that amount, I would be imprisoned for tax evasion. How do I get into the 0.0004% income tax bracket? Please, I really want to pay only 10 cents per year on taxes! *sarcasm*.
@devilman666 Obama never built anything, all he did was collect checks. Just collecting checks mean you are subject to "ordinary income", which is the most heavily taxed kind of income there is. Trump is into real estate. One of the big draws to real estate is the ability to use depreciation to offset profits and tax liability. Do you own a home? For most people their mortgage interest deduction is their single biggest deduction, this is why renters get fucked on taxes. It's all about how you receive income and what you use to offset it. Everything Trump did is lawful.
@KrakenAttackin USA is innocent until proven guilty, so please give evidence that Obama "never built anything", or else he's innocent. That real estate tax thing needs to change then, it's absolute bullshit if the rich can get away with paying nothing in tax, we all have to contribute to society, you don't get to choose not to contribute just because you own a lot of property. Regardless, I dont think that's how he got all his tax exceptions, according to NYT he had a reoccurring cycle of ending the year with a financial loss, which is to say it seems like he lied about how much money he made.www.detroitnews.com/.../"The president’s financial disclosures indicated he earned at least $434.9 million in 2018, but the tax filings reported a $47.4 million loss."
@devilman666 Seriously? Obama never ran a business, never developed any real estate, never had to make a payroll, never had to seek financing, never had to create something from nothing. Obama was a "community organizer", which means he was a professional protester... that's it. But he was tall and pretty so the swing voters creamed their pants and voted for him.As for Trump, as I said before, he is allowed to deduct depreciation (as you are), interest on debt within limits (as you are), various business expenses (as you are). One reason business people want to "accelerate depreciation" schedules is so they can protect profits.
Trump prepaid millions of dollars a few years before. so his yearly taxes were less afterwards. also instead of blaming the wealthy for finding loop holes in the system. so they pay next to nothing compared to the average person. why not go after the law makes who have been in office for 30+ years. that made the laws which allow those loop holes to exist in the first place.
@KrakenAttackin And you voted for Trump because he's racist and a good businessman. Now all you have is racism.
@OddBeMe That is your reply? Come on man, you can do better. Try again.
@KrakenAttackin Did I hit too close to home, krak?
@KrakenAttackin Obama did start a business in 2018 actually, so you are wrong. He is running a business, he owns plenty of real estate, he just bought a vineyard mansion in 2019, he had to do payroll both as president and now as a ceo, I don't know if he's ever needed to seek government financing/government financial support, but if you're right then shouldn't that be a good thing? I thought you guys hated "socialist" programs like welfare? But when Trump seeks financing it's a good thing? Obama created several things from nothing, including the Iran nuclear deal that Trump tore up. You are simply spewing bullshit and nonsense. He served as a state senator in Illinois for 7 years and then a US senator for 3 years before he became president. Please use google before you say anything bad about Obama, because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about, or else you're guilty of slander."The president’s financial disclosures indicated he earned at least $434.9 million in 2018, but the tax filings reported a $47.4 million loss."www.detroitnews.com/.../This isn't just deductions, the man paid less than 0.1% of his income as income tax, and he got away with it by lying about how much he makes.
@Reaperbot666 we've been begging politicians to fix the tax system, but they get paid big money by very wealthy individuals who want to keep the tax system the way it is. You think rich people donate millions of dollars to the campaign's of politicians for nothing?Would be nice if you could prove that prepaid theory but he didn't release his taxes so we don't know. I looked up the pre-paid story and I have one question, "where are they getting their data?", they just quote numbers with no data for where they got it, some of which contradicts other date they said. For example: www.newsmax.com/.../989227"As required, he made an estimated tax payment of $1 million in 2016 and $4.2 million in 2017. Then, it turned out that he did not owe that much in taxes, but, rather than demand the money back, he let the IRS keep it and apply it to any future tax he owed.So — when he only paid $750 in taxes for the first two years of his presidency it was because he had already overpaid during the two previous years and just reduced his payment by that amount."It says he paid 4.2 million in 2017, then goes on to say "so when he paid 750 in taxes for the first two years of his presidency", the first two years includes 2017, so did he pay 750 in 2017 or 4.2 million? The report seems to imply both.
@OddBeMe The whole liberal "everything I don't like is 'racist'" is sooooo tired. If calling people "racist" is all you have than you have nothing.
@KrakenAttackin by the way Obama also worked as a lawyer and senior lecturer of constitutional law at the university of chicago law school. Just incase you still think he's only been in politics his whole life.
@KrakenAttacking did I scare you off?
How about you acknowledge the fact that Trump donates his entire presidential salary to charity when his net worth is drastically decreasing? Look at his other donations throughout his life-time. At least acknowledge the good too.
"Trump has made — and is still making — more money from other countries than he’s admitted publicly. That’s troubling, especially since it could negatively interfere with his job as president and remit as the unquestioned authority of US foreign policy."www.vox.com/.../trump-taxes-nyt-foreign-business-national-security"Donald J. Trump was forced to pay more than $2 million in court-ordered damages to eight different charities for illegally misusing charitable funds at the Trump Foundation for political purposes"ag.ny.gov/.../donald-j-trump-pays-court-ordered-2-million-illegally-using-trump-foundation"hundreds of people – carpenters, dishwashers, painters, even his own lawyers – who say he didn’t pay them for their work."www.usatoday.com/.../
I look into that when I get home. Thanks for posting.

"Donald J. Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency. In his first year in the White House, he paid another $750.He had paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years — largely because he reported losing much more money than he made."www.nytimes.com/.../donald-trump-taxes.html
The NY Times is very political, very biased, had misquoted the truth before, and refuses to name the source of their documents.
NYT will correct it after the election.
@Jersey2 No doubt!
Of course the NY made up two decades of finanical records, and nobody's allowed to release tax returns that are under audit. How silly of us to not realise!
@goaded And you still believe every word of the Steele dossier?
What does that have to do with the NYT? They weren't even the ones to publish the dossier.

@Reaperbot666 Exactly why i said Capitalism is the worst yes and allows rich to invade tax or give so little tax compared to how much they have which really could help. Pretty sure that is aimed at the law that allows it to happen.
Taxes, by their very nature, are socialist.
He followed the law. Business and assets are taxed entirely different for a reason. This works the same way in most countries. Why should we be mad?
@Not_Average why do people get upset over illegal immigrants not paying their taxes, but then celebrate trump not paying his? He has you so whipped.
You're a college graduate, right? Didn't you take macro and micro economics? It's not a matter of being whipped, but a matter of recognizing the legal parameters of our tax system. Assets and businesses are taxed entirely different than ordinary W2 income. The government intentionally incentives people to create jobs and bring value to our economy. The taxes flow from the middle class employees that the business hires. This is how taxing works in most countries. This is just another talking point and an attempt to rustle the feathers of those who are ignorant on taxing. I'll fully admit when my party does the same thing. I see it from both sides. But this is simply ignorance. People need to go on youtube for 15 minutes and learn about how taxing works before spewing such blind hatred and animosity. It's disappointing to see how blindly ignorant people are. I feel as if us Americans should be smarter than this.
Every millionaire who owns assets and/or businesses utilizes the same tax laws. Are you familiar with how depreciating tax laws work?
@Not_Average I'm a moral person and if you or I did this we'd be in jail. Yet his followers think Trump gives a shit about them. That's a lot of words that just say that you make excuses for Trump and you're willing to suck his dick. Lucky dude. Trickle down economics isn't true. The government is lying to you.
Speak for yourself. The bulk of my net worth comes from my assets. If you owned a business or assets, you'd be taxed in the exact same way legally. Is paying voluntary taxes a requirement to be considered a moral person? That's ridiculous. Instead of brushing everything off as words of someone who's whipped, why not read the actual words I'm articulating here and educate yourself? Honestly, don't you want to inform yourself on more knowledge so that you're better informed on political issues in the future? I'm personally always trying to learn more. Trickle down economics isn't the only incentive to tax in this way. There are many more reasons, and this is a tax system that has been extremely effective for a very long time. I don't need to defend trump because he did nothing wrong. The media knows that most of us don't associate with millionaires. They know paying such little in taxes is a foreign concept. They're exploiting their ignorance to push a political agenda, and you're so dense, that you don't even want to question it.
If you look up Morris Invest on youtube, who is a democratic independent journalist that I watch every morning. He's saying the exact same thing, because he owns a business and real estate. He knows how taxing works.
@Not_Average my parents own a business, make very good money, and paid more in taxes. Simple answer is that he's rich and gets away with it. Still didn't answer my question of people get pissed off at illegal immigrants for not paying taxes, but celebrate trump for doing it. Even when they own their own business. The rich get away with a lot of things. He wrote $77,000 off his taxes for hair styling. What the fuck.
How many employees do they have? Because that’s a big determiner in how much in taxes they pay. There are maybe 100s of other variables to consider. We can talk about illegal immigrants and taxes another time. I fully understand that disagree with our monetary policy, but if Trump followed the tax law just as every other American, why is he to blame? Blame the policy makers who regulate our tax laws. That’s a fair argument. I just don’t know anyone who wants to pay more in taxes than they’re want to. I don’t think it’s rational or fair to say Trump is immoral for this. I think that’s a ridiculous statement.
I personally think our taxing system is very effective. I don’t agree with everything, but the results do speak for its effectiveness. We can argue about that, and that’s fair. But this idea that Trump is immoral because he utilized the legal parameters of our tax system is something that we should both understand to be a bit irrational. I’m sure your parents don’t volunteer to pay more taxes than they need to. Why should Trump?
I blame the tax laws not the people who take advantage of those laws. You really need to look at things logically. Every good accountant does the same thing for their clients every year. If you want to be mad at anyone try being mad at the law makers who passed the current tax laws.
That’s a fair argument.
@allaboutyou2 then obviously our system is broken and it needs to be fixed. Trump is america's biggest socialist. I knew his followers would him get away with it because they're a fucking cult.
Even if you disagree, why does supporting the president in any way shape or form when these blind attacks are made make one a cultist? I can disagree with you, but I won’t by default label you of being lesser intelligence because your views aren’t identically in alignment with mine. I wouldn’t label you a cultist for a mere disagreement in politics affiliation. That would make me pretty narrow minded. Might even make me a bigot.
@Not_Average because he can do what he wants and his party will support him no matter what. He's been connected with Jeffrey Epstein yet people make excuses for him. Trump is currently saying that he paid millions so which is it? Thousands of business owners have paid more than him. Unlike trump they don't file for bankruptcy. Taking advantage of the system is called tax fraud.
@Not_Average If thats the thought process then why are they mad at illegals for using benefits or welfare? Blame the system🤷🏻♀️. The same one their ancestors used when they got here😑 Trump doesn't even put his extra money back into the economy. Did everyone forget the Panama papers? Melania is repulsed by him, so good thing he's got supporters like you so he can get laid.
Because illegal immigrants didn't pay into the system, businesses do!! Businesses support our economy, create jobs, etc. That is why they are given the tax breaks. The system needs fixed but don't blame those that follow the tax laws, every smart business owner does.
You’re bringing up a lot of other debatable talking points ahah. We’ll most likely clash again in the future on some political topic and get to it then. I got an entire bookshelf dedicated to economics. I love this stuff. The basis of the argument is that illegals don’t benefit the economy if they don’t pay taxes. Business owners and asset owners still benefit our economy dramatically. The world of economics is driven by self interest. If you want to steer people in a particular direction, then you have to incentivize them. It’s just how psychology works when it comes to money. This is why if you look at the statistics of how beneficial welfare is from a stance of using it as a vehicle to reach middle class- well... It’s extremely ineffective.
Quit your crying and hate filled criticism.
@allaboutyou2 A post on a friend's page, really got me thinking about this. When you see a teacher, buying supplies for her classroom with her own money, it is because rich people pay $750 in taxes. When you see firefighters passing their hats around to raise money for their coworker's cancer treatment, it is because rich people pay $750 in taxes. When you see a nurse at a county hospital working a 12-hour shift, in a twice-worn mask, it is also because rich people pay $750 in taxes. Firefighters, teachers, police, and other public servants are paying taxes to fund themselves, and they still have to do the work! By finding ways to not pay taxes, the wealthy are cheating all of us out of public services, and further adding to the burden of the people they pretend to appreciate. If you really want to thank a cop or a firefighter or a teacher, demand that the wealthy pay their taxes! This isn't even political. 99% of us are not wealthy enough to be okay with 1% of us taking so much, and paying so little. We need tax reform!!

That’s just a display of supply and demand. While the fed has a variety of different tools to influence, they can’t control supply and demand. A common argument is that athletes are paid too much. Well, society sees what they offer of higher economic value. That’s why they are paid the amount they are.Teachers don’t offer a ton of economic value. Nor do law enforcement officers. It’s simply the way the world views supply and demand on an economic level and the government really has little control of this. The reason why rich people pay less taxes is because they offer a tremendous amount of economic value. Without them, our economy would collapse. We’ve designed a system that accommodates for the natural order of things. It’s effective. It works. My personal opinion is that teachers should get paid more, but that’s just my emotional side. Logically, I realize they don’t offer much of economic value. Therefore they are paid less.
It has nothing to do with $750 it has to do with politicians that should be working for the people but instead take contributions from the rich and pass laws accordingly. Be mad but be mad at the dishonest politicians not the business owners that use the tax laws.
@allaboutyou2 I'm mad at the politicians committing tax fraud.
It's not tax fraud if they are following the law, it's an unfair tax law.
@Not_Average Trump is a sight for sore eyes. Why do you hate poor people so much? Teachers are teaching the next generation. That's pretty important. Why is it okay for him to write off $77,000 for a hair appointment but teachers can only write off $250 for school supplies? Why is it okay for billionaires to not pay taxes but people who actually contribute to society teachers, law enforcement, healthcare workers, essential workers, etc can't? I'd love to hear this. Biden/Harris is me being moderate. Fuck the rich bring the guillotine back.
@allaboutyou2 that's why I said we need tax reform. Fuck the rich. Bring back the guillotine. Why is it okay for billionaires to not pay taxes but the poor have to?
Unfortunately it's the rich that create the majority of the jobs. I don't hate the poor, I'm one myself, I use common sense and realize that the rich use the laws for their own benefits. I'm upset at the crooked politicians that get rich passing unfair laws.
@allaboutyou2 The Panama papers. Enough said. Fuck small businesses am I right? They contribute nothing to society. The rich do so much for us but we can't get proper healthcare but they still have their lavish lifestyles 🙄🙄
Can we deflate the hot air? The reason I’m a conservative is because I believe their economic policies are far more effective. I think they benefit the poor and middle class more so than democratic policies. I mean, look at how financially well off democratic ran cities are where they control some of the biggest levels of the division labor. One of my dreams is to start a business teaching people how to create wealth. Back in college, I’d invite a homeless man to eat with me whenever I had extra food credits in the dorm. We’d sit down and talk. Everyone looked at me funny. I didn’t care. The common trait I see within poor people is their outlook and mindset around money. This idea that someone else is rich because you’re poor is toxic and doesn’t work. My sister works as financial advisor with a company that reaches out to poor communities affiliated with the church, and she teaches them money. I’ve met a lot of them and some of them have my personal number. I’ve even been poor myself at one point. I want to teach others how to get to where I’m at today. You really know nothing about me, and you’re always extremely rude to me. So can we actually have a constructive discussion about policy without the insults of character?
You’re talking about hating small business, but statistics show that entrepreneurs are moving to red states because of taxes and a ridiculous amount of regulations imposed in blue states. These regulations make it damn near impossible for small businesses to actually start up and make it. This another reason as to why I’m a conservative. I support small businesses and want to shorten the gap between them, and massive corporations.
Who said anything about small businesses?I personally support small businesses when I can, if i go to eat I'll pick a mom and pop local restaurant over a national chain. Again be frustrated at the law makers!!!
@allaboutyou2 I'm upset someone took advantage of the system. Explain why it's okay for billionaires to not pay taxes but poor people are struggling to get by every day. Especially during the pandemic
@Not_Average Of course bug businesses don't pay taxes. Jeff bezos has more than he'll ever use in a lifetime. I fail to see how he contributes to the world when he pays his employees minimum wage, most need second jobs to get by, work conditions are poor, the money he's making is going somewhere but it's not to his employees. Where do you really think it's going?
I’d urge you to look into the diamond water paradox by Adam Smith. The reason why billionaires don’t have to many taxes is because they create jobs for people who do pay taxes. That have a high intrinsic economic value. They provide more than your average employee. Our tax system is incentivized in a way that promotes a strong economy. You saying a professional athlete gets paid too much in comparison to a teacher is like saying the weather is too hot. It’s true on a necessitated value, but the exchange rate is not there. Society idolizes celebrities. Society is the reason they get paid so much and it comes into the argument of scarcity. At surface level, it makes sense to tax the middle class less. But the reality is that every economic policy is based upon the theory of a trade-off. If they’re taxed less, then that means we have to tax corporations higher. If corporations are taxed higher, then that makes it impossible for new businesses to start, and in a sense monopolizes big corporations. Those big corporations now have to pay higher taxes, and therefore that money comes from somewhere. Now the employees have cheaper infrastructure. Now the employees have lesser working conditions. Now the employees have less in their 401k due to them not be able to appease share holders. Now there’s a much greater risk for companies to go bankrupt and collapse, which then means a higher rate of unemployment.
His employees are making more than minimum wage. Full health insurance plan including dental. He’s created a tremendous amount of jobs during this pandemic. Where are you getting your information?
People wouldn’t need to work two jobs if they knew how to manage money, and learn how to make their money work for them. When people learn how to effectively manage their money and invest it into assets, it creates a stronger economy. This is an incentive placed in a strategic way that benefits all of the economy.
If we didn’t place these incentives, our economy would collapse and we’d have nothing to offer everyone.
@Not_Average Lol. Do you even know how expensive rent is? Why do you hate the poor so much? Do you really think they like being poor? I hope whosever rich cock you're sucking finishes.
@Not_Average Which billionaires do you think don't pay taxes? You could say they pay reduced taxes but on average, still pay +20%. Expenses leading to losses include $70,000 for hair, $700,000 consultancy to daughter etc.
by the way what happened to draining the swamp?
As I said before, everything concerning economic policy is a trade off. So if we control price floors and ceilings, you need to understand that it’s going to take from one sector and give to another. It also knocks the supply and demand out of equilibrium. So if rent is too high, and we want to set a price ceiling on it so that lower income people can access housing in an easier way, the supply of housing will lower. Therefore, it will extremely difficult to find a place in the city, since there’s not any healthy migration. Nobody wants to move since rent is so low. So now realtors can no longer make money in that city. Now the lenders can no longer make money in that city since there’s such limited liquidity. Now the builders and contractors lose work since no new real estate being built is in demand. Now the price of people’s home in that city goes down, and people lose equity in their home. Another example, there was some disaster relief that the US sent out to another country about 6 years ago due to an earthquake. We sent them wheat. Yes, it was able to feed many and keep them from going hungry, but it also disrupted their farming and agriculture section. As a result, that sector of their country collapsed which did more harm than good to them. There’s a give and take in every financial policy. It may not be morally attractive, but you need to consider everyone when proposing policy. Do you understand what I’m saying?
This would also result in less revenue for the city. Then that leads to less police and first responders. Then violent crime. Homelessness. etc. This is why democratic cities have the highest rate of crime and homelessness.
This would also result in less revenue for the city. Then that leads to less police and first responders. Then violent crime. Homelessness. Small businesses will fail as a result of the decline of the city... etc. This is why democratic cities have the highest rate of crime and homelessness. It causes a mass cascading effect when you make policies like this.
@Not_Average Guillotine for 2020. That's already happening now with the rich running everything. Cities don't have a lot of revenue. However the southern states are some of the poorest states in the country. We have a shortage of police and healthcare workers. Violent crime. Homelessness. Sex trafficking. Must be nice being that sheltered.
The reason as to why they are poor is because they don’t have access to a strong division of labor. Cities have much more opportunity.
@Not_Average hmm. It was socialism that brought labor unions to the US. I'm sick and tired of reading about corporations with exorbitant CEO pay who spent millions enriching shareholders but are now laying off thousands of employees. American workers deserve better. The poor should just try to not be poor. Cool. Cool. Cool.
Division of labor doesn’t mean labor unions aha. Shareholders are almost every American that have a 401k and/or IRA.
Share holders also bring in revenue so that corporations can hire more people and create more value.
@Not_Average yes but you didn't say anything about the terrible work conditions at places like Amazon. I didn't have a 401K or IRA at my last job. It had no benefits and I could barely afford food. Not all people were born with a silver spoon in their mouth so that they make excuses for the rich.
@Not_Average any system that allows billionaires to pay zero taxes is unspeakably corrupt.
I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Far from. I made it. Terrible work conditions could be a result of government regulation or literally anything. If your company didn’t offer a 401k, you could easily start an IRA yourself. Most people do. If you can’t afford food, consider acquiring more value able skills that the economy will pay a lot for, or move to an area that’s no so expensive. This is capitalism. It might be corrupt to someone who has a linear thought process, but if you dive a little deeper down, it makes sense. For reasons I’ve already explained. The economy cares more about Jeff Bezos hiring thousands of employees rather than his personal tax deductions. Him having those tax benefits of a corporation allows him to hire more employees. Almost every economy in the world works in this way.
Small business couldn’t survive without these corporation tax benefits. Including your parents business. Big business is even harder to operate, so they receive more tax benefits.
@Not_Average I lived in a small town that didn't offer any community college and my parents couldn't afford school for me. Oh yippie I can enjoy my IRA when I'm old and my back is broken. We have the IRA thanks to socialism.
@Not_Average oh yeah they receive a lot of benefits. Especially during the pandemic as people died. The rich don't care about you
Yeah, I had to figure out ways to pay for my expenses in college too. Parents couldn’t pay for it. I personally don’t participate in an IRA or 401k since I make more money with real estate and rather be able to access my money before I’m old like you. But most Americans do have one, so that’s what I was addressing. Honestly it just sounds like a lot of complaints. Not everyone who makes it has a silver spoon in their mouth. Most of us had to work to where we are today and that includes millionaires. Most millionaires are self made. 88% to be exact. Most people who receive a large inheritance end up in more debt 2 years later. I don’t demonize the rich. They aren’t rich because you’re poor. That’s an extremely limiting mindset.
Without the rich and their businesses, we wouldn’t be able to fund any of the PPP or any relief packages sent out for Covid-19. Most CEOs donated generous amounts to help out. Created a lot of jobs that helped out.
I also don’t expect the rich to care about me or anyone at all for that matter. I take care of myself and don’t depend on anyone. I don’t feel as if someone who’s rich owes me a damn thing lol. I rather earn my own keep. You’re not rich, and I can confidently say that you don’t give a single fuck about me. I don’t need you to either. I accept that.
@Not_Average no but you make a lot of excuses for the rich. That's many things. "Special" being one of them. We don't want CEOs to donate money. That's chump change to them. Just pay your fuckin taxes.
I don’t think I can convince you to open your mind a little. I’ve laid out everything and explained as to why taxes work the way they do. You’ve rejected every fact I’ve thrown at you. It doesn’t seem like you want to learn. If you want to perpetuate blind hatred and ignorance towards people without any foundational knowledge to back it- then go ahead. I prefer to stay open minded, critically think through issues, and expand my mind in a way that allows me to see both sides. You’re never going to learn anything else if you’re this closed off, hostile, and rigid. This is extremely exhausting at this point, and if there’s literally nothing positive coming out of it- then I’m going to forfeit and focus on better things. This isn’t intended to insult you, but this conversation isn’t worth it to me anymore. Have a good day.
@Not_Average the Panama papers disprove everything you've said. Bring out the Guillotine. Let's see some heads roll
Guillotine? Are you implying that we execute our president?
Not sure if that was literal.
@Not_Average you can decide that for yourself. Glad you finally got the message. Only said it like ten times
I didn’t know it was literal. That’s extremely cult like. The fact that your hatred is almost blind considering you don’t educate yourself on a lot of the most basic facts would you a product of brainwashing. I wouldn’t want to execute any democratic leader. I mean, thats some extremely deep hatred to wish a brutal death upon somebody because you don’t agree with their policy. Morally, you sound faulted. At least form my judgement. Maybe it’s because I’ve experienced death first hand plenty of times, but that’s terrible. It’s really dangerous for so many people to be this bigoted and geared towards violence. I know that most democrats don’t think this way, but I’m seeing more and more that think like this and it’s just toxicity I don’t want to be around. I mean how to claim that the military is too harsh and violent yet propose a brutal and public execution of a politician. The hypocrisy is real. This whole movement has just gone way too far.
How do you claim*
How do you claim conservatives are bigots and narrow minded when you propose the public execution of someone because you disagree with them politically. How are democrats the face of acceptance? This has gotten pretty bad.
You’re also an RN? Right? Would you give a patient a little too much morphine if they were a strong supporter and it wouldn’t negatively impact you? Fuck man lol. This is something else.
@Not_Average obviously not dumbass.
He paid 5 million but only owed $750 because of business losses a after being president.
Good lord you are ignorant and vehemently opposed to being educated...I stopped reading the comments when you said you fail to see how Jeff Bezos contributes to society with all his money. You're not going to listen, but here is how: Jeff Bezos keeps about $9 billion on hand, the rest of his money is tied up in investments, being used to support millions of jobs.Trump did nothing illegal on his taxes, this wouldn't even be an issue if people recognized taxes for what they are: armed robbery. Nobody should have to pay tax, NOBODY. Taxation itself is immoral.
@gotc147 oh yes and you are so educated 🙄
You paid over $30,000,000 in taxes in six months? I can't imagine how much money you rake in in a year.
@A1513 his tax returns say otherwise. Did you even watch the news or just continue to believe whatever your cult leader says?
Biden got paid Pro Quo not to nuke their countries
@Reaperbot666 You're a fuckin laugh
Biden exploited tax loopholes too. Funny how the MSM never said a peep about it yournews.com/.../
@bluetoblack99 there is a difference between using tax benefits and lying to the IRS. Trump paid less than 0.001% income tax, that isn't tax benefits and loopholes, that is tax evasion. Don't get me wrong though, Biden's hand's aren't clean, I'm sure he does lots of shady stuff, but he released his taxes publically so we can see what he is hiding.
@Dargil Being a liberal is about appealing to the lumpenproletariat, getting them riled up with gray and black propaganda, pushing an agenda no matter what the facts say, and achieving power AT ALL COSTS. American liberals have learned well from Hitler, Stalin, and Mao.
@KrakenAttackin With their silly fluff degrees and mountainous student debt, Baden and Hadley will live in poverty throughout their fast food careers unless they can elect Democrats to excuse the debt. And they will remain poor, just less so. Worse for DeShawn. After his career of violence, destruction and arson ends, he will live out his days addicted and die young from gunplay or in prison. Shanice is better off. She saw the crater she lived in, survived the abortions, got some free Community College education and an AAS degree and will actually find a job in medicine or social work.
@Dargil Yeah, what passes for "education" these day is atrocious. A degree in "Social Justice" is completely worthless for long-term employment and may actually deter some companies. People need to focus on gaining skills and being marketable.
@KrakenAttackin Worse than worthless. They shout LAND MINE to employers. When considering fresh graduates as new hires, employers must look beyond degrees (even MBA's) to look at course contents and electives, as well as personal background checks to avoid hiring saboteurs.
@Dargil This depends on the employer. I am amazed how many corporations have gone hard-left, ultra-gynocentric in their hiring, firing, and censorship of speech. So many companies are resting on the work and momentum done by regular Americans, they feel they can hire these mutants.
@KrakenAttackin Why it is important to expose the Bigs, avoid working for them and buy elsewhere. The NBA and NFL thought they were gods. Now I can catch up on my reading.
Not quite right. He paid 5 million but only owed $750. He can sell many properties to pay his 4-500 million he owes. Also he’s losing money because he’s president.
Trump should of released his tax returns a long time ago. The NYT “source” may have illegally gotten this information. He is not going to get fucking “bought” by some foreign influence though. If he liquidated all this assets he would still be worth 100s of millions of dollars after his debts are paid. And this is money he earned through his own enterprise not through taxpayer money and book sales from being a politician. Obama, Biden and particularly the Clinton’s never made any many outside of politics and book sales about politics. I still respect trump more than these career politician dipshits. by the way Biden exploited tax loopholes to save huge sums as well. Funny the so called “impartial” MSM never said anything about this. yournews.com/.../
His taxes were under audit for 79 million $. They still are but oh well... I would have refused just off the basis of I don’t fucking have to show you shit and your democrat so ask nicely next time. Hate these democrats. The old party was at least respectable now it’s the part of trash. Watching it burn will be amusing.
@VanillaSalt please point me to the law which prohibits him from releasing his tax records while under audit frothe IRS? I'll wait.
Also, I said please because I'm Canadian and we are civilized and polite. The fact that you expect democrats to ask nicely shows that you don't respect the first amendment except when it is protecting you. You're a hypocrit, a disgrace to your party, and when fox news inevitably turns on Trump (the debate today was a clear sign that they are deeply considering it, even Chris Wallace was finding him unruly and childish), I wonder where you'll go for news... or will you turn on Trump too? I wonder which you're more loyal to, Trump? Or the republican party?
Audit effects his taxes by 79 million $. It’s the difference between him over paying his taxes but 5 million and owing 74 million... so ya I wouldn’t have shown them if it hurt my public image... also show me a law requiring it. And my comment was aimed towards the individual asking for taxes not you. And I believe in rights but at the same time if you really think your free try walking naked through down town while reading a porno jacking off and see how free you are. The only rights you have are the rights you fight for.
Okay but that difference can be explained, where as the 750 income tax for 2017 cannot be explained. There is no legal requirement however there is a long standing precedent of releasing your tax information, and tbe fact that Trump refuses to do so is very shady.I know your comment wasn't aimed at me, I interjected anyways. Who said anything about walking naked through town? I brought up the first amendment because you expect people to be humble and respectful towards you just because you look down on people who disagree with you.I disagree, you have whatever rights are afforded to you, I do agree that people need to get involved and fight for their rights. However, this idea that you only have the rights you fight for seems to imply that you can take rights away from people if you think they're not fighting for them hard enough or in the right way. Obviously taking rights away from people like that would be horrible, so I hope you don't mean to imply it.
I more than imply it... fact is rights are granted and taken by the ones in power. It’s them who will one day take those rights away like China is doing to Hong Kong right now. Just cause you say you have the right does not stop someone from taking that right if you can’t stand up and defend it... the 750 can be explained by investment and charity... charity counts as a tax deduction and investing your money means it’s not taxable. I’m not a big tax person but even I understand what itemized deductions are... again i would never give my enemies something to use against me politically if there wasn’t a legal reason to do so... Biggest thing... I know democrats won’t be humble or respectful... their all hateful little monsters and idc is they respect me... insults from the enemy is praise to a soldier... honestly if I had a button that when pressed killed all the people that think like the extreme democrats ide break the damn thing as hard as I smashed that button.
@VanillaSalt so if democrats ever control the presidency, the supreme court, the senate, and the house, will you be okay with them taking away your right to own guns and free speech? I though America was the last of the free? I thought Americans valued their constitution? Is that no longer true? Because you are saying that if you have enough power the constitution becomes meaningless.Do you think it's okay for the wealthy to pay so little? Republicans always say how the rich are the backbone of the economy and the tax increases from their profit gains will pay for the tax cuts, but if the rich are paying basically nothing in taxes then that argument is invalid.I agree that democrat politicians are, for the most part (there are a couple good apples among the rot), hateful little monsters and they aren't humble or respectful, they would do the same as republicans if the tables were turned, but I would be opposed to them if the tables were turned, I'm an independent, not a democrat.Killing people for disagreeing with you? You sir are either a totalitarian fascist or a totalitarian communist, both do that, so please move to either China or Russia, America is not a totalitarian dictatorship and it never will be.
@VanillaSalt If you view yourself as a soldier then just keep this in mind, you're the Nazi, not the American.
I don’t support it but what am I supposed to do to stop it? One against the system can’t win period... power beats promises especially when the promises go against those with power. I argue your the naive one.The wealthy don’t just sit on billions in the bank... they throw that at tax write offs like charities and reinvestment that create jobs and reinvigorate the economy keeping prices low.I can handle disagreement but I support people that violently riot and support these riots. I support the death of a few 100 for the good of the whole country.
You don't support doing the same things you support republicans doing? Then you're simply a hypocrite. One against the system can't win, but one hundred million against the system can't lose. I'm not anymore naive than the founding fathers, I'm just willing to roll up my sleeves and put in the effort to fix this mess, because I want to have a better future. That is an assumption, what the wealthy do with their money depends on the individual. Some throw money at charities, some throw huge money into stock buybacks, buying dead companies to sell off their assets off (vulture capitalism), etc. There are many investments they make that hirt jobs instead of creating, and if you think the wealthy are lowering the price of drugs then maybe you should go watch Katie Porter ripping into Pharma CEOs for their price gouging over the years, she's basically famous for it at this point. The rich don't work for you, they work for themselves, they don't care about you, only your money and making sure they don't have to pay their fair share in taxes. I agree they don't just keep money in the bank account but that's just because they would get taxed on it then. Personally I think this kind of bullshiy is reason #1 why we need a wealth tax.
Bullshit and excuses. You say you can handle disagreement but just earlier you said you would kill all democrats if you had the chance, you said you wouldn't even hesitate, you said you would smash the "kill all democrats" button from pressing it so hard. So don't change the subject and make it about how you only meant violent people, you're the violent one here. There are hundreds of thousands of people peacefully protesting around the country, but idiots like you decide to call it all rioting. You're pretty fucking immoral then. Supporting the murder of a few hundred people just because you disagree with them, is wrong. By your standard it is okay for me to support the death of every republican who supports Trump, because, in my view, it would be "for the good of the whole country"
You don't support democrats doing the same things you support republicans doing?
100 million would lose against the military... and yes ide kill the people trying to take my country from me without question. You call a soldier violent for fighting for peace in war and doing what is right? It’s majority left that’s destroying shit. Burning buildings and hurting people. Rare 1/10 ratios of white Supremists commit the same crimes... their not me... and you fight for what you fight for I’ll fight for me and mine and we’ll see who wins that’s the point of war. i never mentioned drugs being lowered... although now that you mention it trump put something through for insulin and something else... bet diabetics remember that. Wealth tax means rich people leave... their 40% of the taxes... what happens when the country loses 40% of its money... enlighten me please.
1.3 million troops in the US armed forces, and if half the country split then chances are the military would split in half too. So I disagree, I think 100 mil of people demanding change would overthrow the country overnight. What are you gunna do, kill a third of your people? Usa only has less than 400 mil in total. No, I call a Nazi violent for believing that the future he fights for is the right one. You literally said you would kill all democrats if you had the chance. You literally said that, yet now you want to pretend to be the one who cares about peace? Are you fucking nuts? Are you genuinely insane? Please give me evidence that it is mostly the left committing violence.www.csis.org/.../escalating-terrorism-problem-united-statesAccording to the people who report the numbers on these things, the vast majority of the violence and specifically terrorism is coming from the right. The riots are a small minority of protests, they are just getting a lot of coverage.I don't fight for anything. Fighting is for soldiers, and soldiers commit violence. I argue for a better society, but I'm not going to commit violence to force my vision of a better society on you. I'm better than that, I can handle disagreement. The fact that you want it to be a war between democrats and republicans is the reason why this country might be fucked. If we all just worked together to fix the country we could drain the swamp, but we're so busy fighting each other that the corrupt bastards in DC get to do whatever they want with our tax money.Regardless the wealthy aren't trying to keep prices low, they want to make as much money as possible no matter what it takes.
Trump didn't really fix insulin, admittedly he is helping out low income diabetics but my point was that in general prices are still rising, not falling as you seemed to imply. If you want to know more on the insulin thing, here's a link: www.snopes.com/.../Also I love how this is based off of "socialist" healthcare programs like Medicare. It is helping uninsured and underinsured people pay for their medicine, isn't that similar to a a public healthcare plan? But then I guess if he didn't do that then he would look like an absolute failure on healthcare.Nobody is talking about taking 40% of someones wealth from them every year, please stop being ignorant. Also, if all rich people left the country wouldn't lose much because so many rich people do what Trump does and use legal tax evasion methods to pay 750 per year, or pay income tax for only 10 out of 15 years, we'd lose like 5% of tax revenue at most because none of them pay their taxes. Seriously, I don't get how your republicans can simultaneously think that rich people are the back bone of our taxes, yet also you argue to lower taxes on them as much as possible and make excuses for why they should be allowed to pay 0.001% income tax. Lmfao.
Your assuming the military would split from the government... your also assuming a private is as capable as a general. The government will not turn on the president regardless who he is unless it’s completely against the constitution. 100 million dies to a few machine gun emplacements... also d day tells you how bad an idea it is to charge machine guns. Also yes I’ll kill the enemy. Even my own neighbors if their threatening me. What’s the difference between me killing a rioters destroying my work place and a rioters killing a retired cop stopping them from destroying his friends business? The left are the nazis and terrorists. Antifa and a large part of BLM.The democrats are the swamp. Pelosi, aoc, Harris, sanders, Clinton... Taking 40% of someone’s incomes not the same as paying 40% of taxes... we have a varying tax system where the more you make the higher your % you pay. But assuming a set tax system what 1 millionaire pays in taxes is equivalent to 10 people making 100k... that’s not a large group. If your gonna take all my money for working hard why should I work hard? If your gonna pay me $15/hr to flip burgers why should I bust my ass building the place you work or the hospital you’ll visit for $12/hr?
@VanillaSalt well I have precedence on my side, according to... every civil war EVER, the military is almost guaranteed to fracture. Soldiers start deserting to join the rebel forces, because guess what? Soldiers are people too, they have their own political beliefs and won't all respond the same way.Who said anything about privates and generals? I disagree, both democrats and republicans are power hungry, I think either would turn on the president if they saw a chance to take over the country. I don't think anyone really cares about the constitution anymore, only using the constitution to benefit themselves. If the constitution gives your opponent a benefit, suddenly it doesn't matter what it says.
XD you really think 100 million people can be killed just like that? You're genuinely retarded. I want you to think back to Iraq and Afghanistan, small countries which have less than 50 mil population each you invaded both countries in the last 20 years, and your soldiers died fighting them, because they would dress like normal people and hide with the population, leading to extensive bombing of civilian areas. Would America bomb it's own cities? No, of course not. Meaning they will take HUGE casualties trying to fight against an army that looks like regular civilians. You use D-day as an example not to charge the enemies? You realize that D-day was a victory, right? Yes there was heavy losses but the Americans were victorious. As for the civil war, 100 million troops could bide their time hiding in the open, and then start using homemade bombs to terrorize the people and kill the police/troops without getting caught. Like I said, Iraq and Afghanistan already showed how effective insurgents and IEDs can be, they don't need to be armed to the teeth, they just need coordinization. You're willing to use violence to force your way of life onto those who disagree with you? Remember, you said you would kill all democrats given the opportunity, so you don't get to pretend like your neighbor would be threatening you there, they would just be disagreeing with you.Nothing is different with those examples, in both cases the person who comitted murder is a criminal who should go to straight to prison, do not pass go, do not collect a small loan of 1 million dollars.
How are the left nazis? That is just ridiculous. As for terrorists, I want to see some evidence. I can start calling you names too if you want, but we won't get anywhere like that, now will we? Please give evidence that the left are nazis and terrorists, or else they are innocent, because innocent until proven guilty. You're an idiot. I agree that democrats partially make up the swamp, but clearly you think Bitch McMoscow isn't part of the swamp. Mitch makes up rules, like the one that he made up to stop Obama from nominating a justice in 2016. Pelosi, Harris, and Clinton are swamp people through and through, same with Schumer, McConnell, Biden, Trump, Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, etc.AOC and Sanders however, no. They are both hardworking members of congress who genuinely serve the people of their distrct instead of their own self interests. I get that AOC has a bit of a bad rep atm because she is getting pushed around by Pelosi, but that's because AOC is extremely popular and Pelosi wants to ride that popularity straight to the election without ever having earned it. Even with them selling out though, the democrats still supported candidates running against incumbents, when Pelosi said during the last election that she would always defend the incumbent democrat lmao. Eventually the progressives will try to take over the party, for now we just need to ensure Pelosi can't remove us, and then wait until we have more power.Who said anything about 40% of someones income as tax? That's a ridiculous amount. 37% is highest marginal tax rate in USA.smartasset.com/.../current-federal-income-tax-brackets
Do you think a ceo of McDonald's works 100x harder than the guy flipping burgers? 1.3 million salary vs 15k salary, he makes almost 100x more on salary alone, does he work 100x harder? If you include all other benefit and compensation then he made 16 mil in 2018.So should we just stop fucking taxing people then? Cause this is BS, you're saying we can't tax rich people cause then they won't bother becoming rich.$15/hr to flip burgers? Where do you live? I live in Canada were we have a REAL minimum wage and even here its below 15 dollars per hour, also our dollars is worth less than yours so the wage naturally has to be higher. Nobody at mcdonalds who actually works the resteraunt makes that much, try 8 dollars, probably 7.25 if you've been there for less than a year. 15 dollars, if they paid that then mcdonalds employees wouldn't complain about minimum wage being not enough to live off of.Why should you bust your ass? Pretty simple, for the same reason I bust my ass. To survive. I need food, I need money to get food, I need a job to get money, and if I dont bust my ass then I will be replaced. Doesn't matter if they pay minimum wage, when you have no better options, you take what you can get and you work hard at it regardless. Everyone who whines about why would they bust their ass if they don't get anywhere are lazy and entitled, because if you've ever been truly poor and worked minimum wage then you know that you don't get anywhere, you just keep busting your ass to keep yourself from dying. No wonder so many turn to crime.Your comment about $12/hr hospital visit confuses me.
If you were smarter with your taxes and could have, would you?
@Dargil Yeah, because I’m patriotic.
So, out of love for your government, you would NOT claim a deduction that would save you, for example, $5,000? Would you not take every lawful deduction and exemption that you could? If the government did not want you to take them, they wouldn't have allowed them. People have the cockeyed notion they will find malfeasance in his tax returns. Do you really think he wants to end up in the can like Wesley Snipes?
@Dargil We aren't sure if Trump’s taxes are legal or not.
Sure we are. I repeat: Do you really think he wants to end up in the can like Wesley Snipes?Only you and other deluded democrats hope he tricked the IRS.
@Dargil So Trump a tax cheat, or a bad businessman?
You are not allowed to carry losses forwards...
but spends billions on his trips golfing and security for his family. that 1.6 million is nothing.
He paid the $750 that he owed immediately plus Trump Pre-Paid $1 Million in 2016 and $4.2 Million in 2017 to US Treasury for future taxes owed. Don't listen to NYT.
Says who? That would have showed on a tax return.
Oh, I forgot the best part. I'm going to employ my daughter as a consultant to my consulting business and pay her big bucks which I can write off as a business expense and probably take a loss on my personal taxes just like Don. I don't know if I'll get the $72.9 million refund Don got from the IRS, but you know, every penny helps. Never mind that my daughter is only 2 1/2. Her goo goos and gaa gaas will I'm sure, be as insrumental to the business's success as everything Ivanka contributed to Trump's business when he paid her big bucks as a consultant so he could take a loss on his taxes. This is great...
But based on the NYT information, a few years later he claimed and received a refund for that $38 million and the tax he paid for a few other years so in the end the government didn't really get any of that money to use for national defense or building roads or anything else. It's kind of like if someone gives you $1000 but then takes it back and someone else gives you $10 and you keep it, in the end the person that gave you $10 actually gave you more.
@CallMeDave I agree with the principle, but where is the evidence that he received a $38 million refund? I have never heard that, although I could be wrong.
by the way is funny how nobody talks about Joe Biden also exploited tax loopholes yournews.com/.../
Tax them the same as us for a start. Not any extra.
@gotc147 And what do you pay the police with? Crackers?
Donuts is a good alternative.
Fuck the Police.
how much did he actually pay?
He paid over 5 million he only owed $750 to irs
@VanillaSalt And you found that info where?
New York Times article who’s header said he only paid $750 but buried half way down that he paid 5 mil.
Giving up a 400,000 salary to give himself millions in tax cuts per year.
@VanillaSalt Where? www.nytimes.com/2020/09/29/us/trump-750-taxes.html
He’s a billionaire. A million dollars is not even a penny to him. I doubt that matters lol The point is played.
https://youtu.be/qc-XxjTXbWkHe reads the article. Don’t have a direct link but it’s on the screen.
@VanillaSalt I'd refuse to believe anything I can't directly see with a link. It's certainly not the Times 750 article. Nor does he link to any article. As someone proficient in digitally altering images, having learned Photoshop and Illustrator in school, it's VERY easy to create a fake article. I'd HIGHLY recommend avoiding youtube as a source of news. Especially videos targeting either democrats OR republicans. We are our own nation. If you really look at the moves both sides make, the democrats and republicans have very similar interests disguised under the cover issues of gun ownership, abortion, and gay rights, and neither parties are truly helping the standard of living for the majority of US citizens. https://prnt.sc/urbv2b
@VanillaSalt he paid 5 mil since 2000. Only $750 in 2016. Read the whole article.
It feel like theft yet?
What do you think "patriotic" means? I'm guessing your definition would fit "jingoistic" better.
The standard Merriam Webster definition I refer too. However, I always appreciate assumption. Which, you would be incorrect.
: love for or devotion to one's country : extreme chauvinism or nationalism marked especially by a belligerent foreign policyHave you ever blamed China for the virus? Do you think there's anything wrong with the US?
I know what jingoism is and recognize its definition. Is their a point or reason why you desire to pigeon hole me to make some point? I’ll humor you since you feel inclined to need to prove something to yourself... China: No. Nothing wrong: No. Again, you are incorrect. What is your point in asking since it has zero to do with who paid what in taxes or what is or is not patriotism... I am done explaining myself.
So, why do you want to pigeonhole liberals? Do you think they don't love the country, just because they think it could be better for the majority of people?
I never said liberal. I said “Left” and you miss my point entirely. My point being if patriotism is equated through one’s level of tax they pay, then the “Left” who favors increase i taxes bu this virtue would make them the more patriotic. However, going by the general mood of the United States and its sentiments towards taxes, nothing could be less true as taxes are viewed as a form of tyranny. Again, I appreciate your assumptions...
"... going by the general mood of the United States and its sentiments towards taxes..."And you say *I'm* making assumptions?73% of people aren't bothered "a lot" by the amount they pay in taxes (nobody likes paying them, but people accept that they're necessary). Who they think should be paying more or less tax is also important: the 80% of people who think corporations and rich people don't pay enough must include a lot of people on the right, right?
Considering most billionaires are registered Democrat, I would have to say, no, you aren’t right. What the Democrat party manages to do very well is compel an overwhelming population that Republicans are all rich corporate fat cats. Only a few are one one switches parties at his convenance and sits in our White House. The Democrat party has a long history of subjugation and keeping folks “in their place”. It is an inescapable recorded history reality. Lincoln is not a Democrat. Yet the DNC hangs his portraits in their office and has removed Jacksons. Theodor Roosevelt, a Republican, was the first American Progressive President was the first to integrate the armed services. Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat, immediately reversed this and screwed over the Pullman after telling them that if they vote for him he’ll ensure they get more rights and better treatment. Woodrow Wilson. Our first President with a Ph. D, was also out first card carrying member of the Ku Klux Klan. Public Schools became interpreted under Dwight D. Eisenhower. Governor Governor Orval Faubus, a Democrat, called up the Arkansas National Guard to prevent 9 black students from attending the then all white campus. Eisenhower replied with the 101st Airborne. Shall I continue? Your party is that of separatist and robber barons which I have yet to touch upon. Just because the Left has wonderful spin doctors who paint rosy pictures of Leftist altruism, the Left is anything but altruistic. The once ‘mighty’ middle class they claimed to have championed they have all but abandoned. Even union bosses are having a hard time telling their membership to vote blue as even they see the rusted writing upon the walls of their many closed factories. The middle class is fleeing their democrat strongholds where those “taxes” are significant. California being the greatest example of middle class flight. ... and what is the Left’s response? Then Democrat Governor Brown and present Governor Gavin Newsom dismiss those...
Leaving as not smart enough to figure out how to live with high taxes. I guess this means that they ate not patriotic too, correct? After all, if I am following your logic, patriotism is increased relative to the amount one pays in taxes. I likely pay higher taxes than you so you are arguing with a real patriot by that logic. 73% aren’t bothered - a lot. Where did you get this figure and how is the “a lot” measured? I mean, if people are not bothered by taxes, why do they move to locations with lower taxes? What strikes me is that this is both Left and Right and the Left being larger in population and complains the most bring their policies with them wherever they go then complain when things turning lousy where they move to and cluster. The Left really thinks that Red States are made better by turning them blue then when they become another blue dive they wonder how this happened and say it is the Red’s fault. The Left has ZERO accountability, subjugates its constituency, and the party members go in broke and come out wealthier than moat of those they claim to represent. It is a party of feudalistic lords. Keep the powerful in power and the presents and commoners pouring the party elite the goblets of wine. You can have your party and its god awful examples of humans and decay. A hundred Trumps is still far less worse than one Democrat Party boss laying waste to entire great cities - the entire “rust belt” and now California... a once beautiful and forward looking red state. Leftism is merely feudalism rebranded. Jacksonian theory has never left the Democrat Party.
Hill staffers will tell you the only real difference between Democrats and Republicans on the Hill are, Democrats are the legitimate party of the ultra wealthy and Republicans are just afraid of becoming poor. They both wise to be wealthy. That politics is corrupt in itself and self serving. I would agree... and this comes from both Democrat and Republican staffers from the Hill, alike. True altruism is not derived through taxes. Further, ‘we’ are far more over taxes for pet projects in some other district than you will ever realize and you just seem as happy as a “patriotic” to allow this to continue. Me, I am beyond ready for insurrection. I’m just no John Brown looking to become a martyr for the ‘cause’.
"73% aren’t bothered - a lot. Where did you get this figure and how is the “a lot” measured?" From the Pew poll, the image I posted came from (27% care a lot, by their own definition): www.pewresearch.org/.../As to the rather long history lesson, most of it is ancient, by American standards at least, and ignores which party broke the unions, which, unlike almost all you talked about, happened in my lifetime, and coincided with the disconnect between increases in wages and productivity.
In exchange for "giving up" his $400,000 a year salary, he's had the government spend $140,000,000 on golfing trips, mostly to his own courses. Not a good deal for the people.
Neither was Obama, so I don't wanna hear it.
I know you don't, but Obamas trips (300, over 8 years, not 279 over less than 4) were mostly to local and military golf courses. Much cheaper, and not putting a penny into Obama's pocket. These are important differences.
Yeah, but his wife had all those czars working for her to the tune of millions and every time they went on family trips they had to have an entourage of unnecessary people and vehicles which also cost several millions of dollars. None of that has anything to do with the point that I made about everyone doing the same thing with their taxes if they could.
No, not everyone would be doing the same with their taxes. You just think that because that's what you'd do. Most people try to make their businesses work, be profitable, and pay off their debts.en.wikipedia.org/.../United_States_Presidential_vacations Years Vacations Days Total costs45 Donald Trump 2017-2020 24 279 $140m44 Barack Obama 2009-2017 112 328 $96m43 George W. Bush 2001-2009 88 1,020 $140m42 Bill Clinton 1993-2001 41 174 - 345 $128m (Bear in mind, Trump's been in office for less than half the time the others were.)
I don't need a break down of everyone's expenses that you got online. I can do that myself if I'm intrested. I don't have time to play with you anymore, I drive for a living so go bother someone else.
"Where is your outrage at Jeff Bezos and Amazons ZERO federal income tax?"Are you kidding? Everywhere! Along with Google and Apple's stiffing the people.Just search for "Tax the rich", or "Amazon paid no tax".
How much did you pay in tax just to post this answer?
I think Pelosi is working on it right now.
so true ahaha
He doesn't know all the loop holes. They pay people to know them
What the fucj does "a few years before" mean when they have decades of returns LOL
Either he’s hiding massive wealth or is a sucky businessman. I’m going with B.
What about hating the player who's doing less than nothing to make the game fair?
@goaded The game is fair, its just not easy. You could do exactly like Trump in regards to taxes if you wanted.
Paying no taxes is sucky business? thats a win. Look at Bezos.
Not impressed with Bezos, or Musk, or whoever's in charge of Google, but they're not running the country. And, no, it's not fair, many tax breaks are only avalable to rich people. If every dollar the government pays to the IRS results in $1.70 in revenue, the obvious solution is spending more on the IRS! It negates the idea that every dollar you spend on a tax accountant saves you more than $1.Maybe, ideally, all the taxes paid to accountants should go to find the IRS?
@goaded Then use real estate investing and a corporation as a tax shelter, you can also write off depreciation. Use 1031s to upgrade your portfolio. Dont be mad, size up foo
Or, and this is just a crazy off the cuff idea, we could change the tax system to stop people ripping other people off. What do you think?
@Paris13 Notice the NYT did not state how much Trump paid in State, local, school, taxes, and fees, permitting, etc. Anyone who has spent any time at all in the Northeast or West Coast of the U. S. knows how money-grubbling liberals are. I am sure Trump paid millions in taxes, et. al.
@KrakenAttackin He has before, but remember Obama was President, so no one made money those years.
@KrakenAttackin And how about voluntary taxes? Charity. Getting the money to where it can do the most good, unsifted by corrupt democrat politicians
Look at the Brunette on far right, man I need to be a judge.
@888theGreat That’s the Mrs Russia Pageant by the way. Other news that ties him closer to Putin...
@Dargil Trump Admin has more convicted employees than Nixon.
He used Russian dressing on his salad yesterday. THAT PROVES IT!!!
@Dargil It doesn't matter. The liberals are experts at "obstruction traps" which is how the convictions were obtained. The liberals are merciless hypocrites who allow Bill, Hillary, and Barrack to get off Scott free but pursue honourable people like Gen. Flynn.
I want media to Explain how Pelosi came to Congress worth $5000 and now she is worth $300,000,000.00 , yet she only made $75,000 average a year.
He paid 5 million not $750. $750 is what he owed.
