You can look at the people in crowds and see the proportion of masks, though. I don't know if anyone's done a study on cases a week or two after a rally or protest, it would be interesting.
@goaded Oh, for sure. And yeah, I’d be real interested to see that data.
It's out there. An article is here:coloradosun.com/.../It's a study done by economists (not virologists) one time, never reviewed by the scientific community and based on the premise that even if x# of cases were spread by the riots there was a net decrease in covid cases because normal people were scared to leave their houses to be attacked in the streets. So it's not even correct to say "BLM protests didn't spread covid" based on the study's own findings.
@joeldalton www.allsides.com/.../colorado-sun-media-biasI like to check the media bias of these articles. No surprise hereThe Colorado Sun media bias rating is Lean Left. The Colorado Sun is a digital news site launched in 2018 focusing on Denver, Colorado sand statewide affairs. According to its About page, the Sun "strives to cover all of Colorado so that our state — our community — can better understand itself."An AllSides independent review determined that the Sun typically covers issues and stories more geared toward the left side of the political spectrum, with little coverage of issues that interest or primarily concern the right.
The point wasn’t the source. The same “study” was repeated in multiple news organizations.
@joeldalton Then find the details and look at their method for flaws
I explained exactly to you what the flaws were in the study.
