Just bc you don’t give af less doesn’t mean it isn’t important to someone else.
And therein lies the complexities of politics. I couldn’t care less if the US is a big swinging dick on the world scene or an economic giant or the most powerful military or whatever. I’d personally rather see a society based around decency, I feel like “society” and “individualism” is kind of an oxymoronic concept. It’s either every man for himself like nature intends, or it’s all for one and one for all like a successful fabricated reality should probably be. I don’t care what side we choose, but walking in the middle of the street like we’ve done for a couple centuries here doesn’t seem to be the correct answer as I see it.
But your idea of “decency” conflicts with half of America, I’m sure. So that’s why there’s a middle of the road.
Yeah, that’s fair. I guess I’ll just always see any man-made societal system not clearly ordained by, and within the boundaries of nature as an inherently broken and futile concept.
And you’d be right. But what’s the alternative?
Natural life in the wild, as nature intends for us. This is all fabricated reality that we currently live in, it’s all artificial and none of us are entitled to any of it. So I’m just not married to “life as we know it”, as comfortable and beneficial it may be for me and most of us, and we just ultimately have no right to it’s preservation.
