Is America really the most racist country historically? Are there better examples? Why did segregation last longer in South Africa than the US?

In the 1960’s America was like 89% white.

We could’ve easily continued segregation. But we didn’t. We gave in.

Compare that to South Africa which had racial protests for decades and didn’t end segregation until 1994. Despite the fact their white population was only 20% at the time.
