This is brilliant. I love that picture.
I'm stealing this picture.

This is some mental gymnastics if I ever read it."the most stupid conspiracy theories I read on here all come from people who really despise "tHe LEft"I'll use the same logic back on you. Have you ever considered people don't despise these theories and ideologies because they "hate the left," but because they're just horrendous ideas and ideologies for society, REGARDLESS of politics? Like "it's okay to be violent (punch a Nazi) with people who have different opinions and ideas than you" and "it's okay to be bigoted and hateful to people you THINK/ASSUME have more power in society than you," and "it's okay to believe you are whatever magical creature you want to believe in, and if people don't accept it, it's okay to get them fired from their jobs and ruin their livelihoods" and "because one cop did a bad thing, let's literally get rid of ALL THE COPS," and "people are not individuals, they are merely the color of their skin, their gender, or their sexuality, and they must all think the same (as the left thinks) if they are not straight white males," and "it's okay to lie, cheat, steal, break the law, and commit violence as long as it results in the outcome you want." Are you going to seriously argue the above ideas are coming from academic scholars and the more educated and "enlightened" people in society? And this criticism is coming from someone who was largely left leaning his entire life until 2016 (although I'd still say I'm 55% more classically liberal than anything else, even as a Centrist). I also have a Masters degree, if that even matters.
I don't think you understand what I wrote. My original post: "I can only speak for academia... the more educated on a subject you are, the more your thinking looks like "tHe LEft" to less educated people" obviously refers to academic topics like climate science, statistics and data science. I'm not sure what kind of confusion of ideas you are having to connect the "subject" I refer to with "horrendous ideas and ideologies for society", but it's funny. You went on to write a bunch of incoherent sentences that have nothing to do with academia and then say "Are you going to seriously argue the above ideas are coming from academic scholars?"lol doesn't really matter, it's not like my opinion on rational discourse on this site can get any lowerAlso,"the most stupid conspiracy theories I read on here all come from people who really despise "tHe LEft" "is an observation, like "I see bad weather from the mountain", it is descriptive, with no logical structure."I'll use the same logic back " is a nonsensical reply, tbh I don't know why you want to quote that part.
To make it simpler for you to understand, since people here have the tendency to write endlessly about things they don't understand, here is another observation of what actually happened on this site, it will give context and explain why I only speak from academia perspective: I merely stated that the statistical models climate science deniers rely on are literally just curve fitting with no sufficient physical basis (if you add enough harmonics you can reconstruct any pattern, that's the idea behind epicycle or Fourier series) ... and I was already called "far left" by people who don't even read the research they were citing. It turned out they were just parroting.Other times I pointed out that people's conspiracy theories always: - overfit data - confuse noise for pattern (e. g they look at outliers to draw conclusion)- only look for a story that fit all the data instead of looking at reliable predictions that don't explain all the data (this is a very hopeless misunderstanding of anything related to science)etc.I and many of my colleagues were called "left leaning" or "far left". Every. Time, lol It's becoming amusing when I read these complaints that academia is "the left" on the internet. The pattern here is these people always preface their posts with some generic invective for "the Left", "leftism", etc. So, yes. The most stupid conspiracy theories I read on here all come from people who really despise "tHe LEft"
If you think the government is the only institution with any power (by the way the left controls a lot of it), you are a lesser ape.
No it didn't.
When did you hear that term from the left under obama? you didn't.
