What's Your Opinion? Sign Up Now! Kennedy pushed NASA.
Republicans in Congress pushed civil rights and voting acts. Democrats opposed both. Historic record.
Johnson started welfare. 5 generation of dependants of the government in fatherless homes... all over urban areas.
Obama stripped the requirements to actually prove you looked for work every week. He wants to keep the poor on the plantation. Whose the slave owner now?
Vile excuse for a human being Obama is.
@Andres77 Few points:
1. I didn't mention anything about Obama
2. Take your Socialism baiting elsewhere
3. Johnson championed NASA to Congress, which wanted to scale it back considerably. We
wouldn't have put people on the Moon in 1969 if it weren't for him.
4. Johnson and other prominent Democrats were the primary drivers of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - not Republicans. Also, significantly more Democrats voted for its passage than Republicans did, although that's skewed because there were a lot more Dems in both houses of Congress at the time. The Dem vote was heavily influenced by the Southern Democrats (Dixiecrats), who are now the same people who go around talking about how welfare creates fatherless homes. i wouldn't go around thinking that's a feather in your cap, if you're a modern Republican.
