We are seeing it all over the USA, dictators I mean governors are killing the livelihoods of law abiding citizens because of the pandemic. In my opinion they should only be allowed to do this if justly compensated otherwise it is tyranny and an act of illegal aggression. The nation waits for more stimulus spending that the lame duck congress refuses to pass meanwhile governors are slapping their authoritarian dicks against our faces while we wait in a bread line queue.
Should government be allowed to shut down a business without compensation due to a pandemic?

You must be new to the internet, kiddo.
The governments job is to protect the public interest and public health. The purpose of business is to work within laws and profit from the public.
The government can shut down any business violating laws or being a public health hazard. Some business owners got greedy and not only raised prices for existing stock but also made their places of business less safe for people.
You must be a dimwit if you don't see the health hazard these pose and continue to. All because simpletons like you won't listen.

In most foreseeable National emergencies, there is a policy with procedures in place, on how to deal with natural or man-made disaster relief situations, to be able to act as a buffer for businesses and individuals who are displaced or have lost their livelihood, due to foreseeable National crisis. It does not appear that this pandemic was foreseen by anyone within previous administrations, or was not considered a priority, if it was foreseen as a potential problem.
We have restaurants in our area that still open for inside dining despite our governor's restrictions. Guess they know that the State's Public Health department doesn't have the manpower to go out and inspect and fine all of those in violation so they continue to stay open.

I'm thinking this is under the 5th Amendment, a part of the Bill of Rights: "nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation." These shutdowns, in many places, I believe, are in VIOLATION of this RIGHT, in a FEDERAL DOCUMENT, superseding the Local and State governments!

No. We have seen an extraordinary transfer of wealth from the middle class and small businesses to billionaires and billion-dollar companies. All done at the hands of our government and supported wholeheartedly by those on the left who claim to be for the little guy.

Allowed yes...
but its ill advised to do it.
The best solution would be to send the workforce into homeoffice with federal financial support for necessary equipment and salaries.

Yeah, thanks to republicans there is no compensation availible. So its either risk it and get sued by al the people who get the virus or don't risk it and get sued by the businesses who missed out on a few days of excess money. The latter makes trimpm rolls more mad, but theyre going to be mad anyway, so what difference does it make?

No it should not be allowed in the United States with our laws. But considering the fact that the main reason it's being done is to force as many small businesses out of business as possible, to increase dependence on the government, I can see where they're coming from. Socialism is being forced through the doors of America through this virus bullshit.
