I sometimes think of the world as a whole, earth hurdling through space, so many interesting people doing so many interesting things all so simultaneously, what a wonderful world no
Would the way we view the world change as we become a truly space fairing civilization? Would we stop quarreling over little things?

I think massive change might be closer than you think. The third generation of quantum computes will have a huge impact on society. Imagine harnessing plasma for space flight or sentient robots to farm cook clean and transport us. We're just beginning to imagine a world with first gen QC's now. Its really exciting stuff.

Either we under go a massive change in the next 100 years, or humanity as a species will end.
This nonsense will not make it as a space faring species.
It might happen in 102021 but not any sooner... human evolution takes time... bacteria for example change very quickly but humans no.. takes thousands of years

It would eventually go away but not in a hundred years except for maybe with the DNA changing tech like crispr. Otherwise probably 10,000s of years.
I think after this pandemic people are going to appreciate what things they have and appreciate the people that they have including Family and Friends?
