What about your country?
That's cool! Makes me want to visit. I'm from the USA and I think something truly unique here is that there are tons of restaurants and stores that are open 24 hours a day.
Yeah were well aware that many in your country still deny the happening of the Armenian genocide.
Is that so? Before Covid, we were planning to walk a length of Ireland's SW coastline. Unfortunately, that will still be easier since Brexit. Wales is lovely, though.

My dream is 2 live in Vancouver :) Is it a good place 4 someone who doesn't like cold winter and hot summer?
@OG956 I have only vacationed there for 2 weeks ever but I heard the weather is good because the nearby oceans moderate the temperature - it’s not perfect since Canadian whether is never perfect but it’s better than the northern areas in Canada
Even for university? How is y’all obesity rate?
@Darcia also for university yes. You can become a doctor for free. We have obese and fat people, but they are very very rare. We Danish people tend to ride our bikes everywhere (not motorbike but bicycle)I live in central Copenhagen (the capital of Denmark) and work on the outskirts of the city. I have a racing bike 18 gears and it has to at least be snowstorm before I take the bus or a cab.Also we don't have high fructose corn syrup in everything and no corn fed beef. A lot of Danes do eat hotdogs thou, which I personally wouldn't dream of, but I don't knowAnyway, ask anything you like, and like I told @Bratsondanielle definitely let me know if you are coming ( after covid )
As a Dutchie, we see structural similarities and often look up to the Danes :)
@stepje92 you're from Holland? I love Holland!!! Been there several times and I always loved it. Think my first time around 13 years old. We met a family who we visited several times and they visited us.Yes you have a pretty similar system I believe. Really the best way to do it.American people say socialism and it's the boogeyman to them. I gently explain "social democratic " but it's kinda hard. I'm not discussing it with my American fiancee ever cuz it is not easy for her to understand just like I can't grasp some of the things she explains to me Anyway... take care
That’s lovely to hear! I’ve only been to Copenhagen once (shame on me), but really want to explore more. Borgen and Broen might’ve sparked some that interest, haha.And exactly! It’s difficult to grasp for a lot of people how the system is not socialist-communist ( I also had my share of arguments😉) , but hey, it works for us, haha. Thanks! Stay safe
@stepje92 well I should make a return to Amsterdam soon too I guess. It's truly an exciting experience. U take care too
This orange appears more like peach now.
I'm Canadian and we pretty much consider Alaska our cousin. Alaskan people are way more like northern Canadians than Americans
@Inexpensivefurniture I've never heard that one before. It seems like it would make sense. I know Alaska can be a dangerous state though and I'm not just talking about the bears and moose.
I'm laughing like crazy ("monkey level") but I know it's not funny...
@msc545 I've been in a Tuk-tuk, and it's not! :)
@goaded I can well imagine it isn't!
Oh thats good news for @goaded since he's an unintelligent little monkey himself.
@SlightlyEccentric "unintelligent". you are clearly brilliant.
@msc545 Oh, someone else who's blocked me, it seems.
Oh, it was because he took a bad joke of mine as an attack! If you can read this, @slightlyeccentric I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I should tell you that a Christmas cracker is a completely safe and fun feature of a traditional British Christmas meal. They contain a paper crown, a small toy, and a joke that's designed to make you groan at how bad it is, like the joke in your post, just shorter.e. g. "Why didn't the ghost go to the dance? He had no body to go with!"I was just trying to say I enjoyed your train joke. I'm sorry it came over as nasty, I should have realised that crackers aren't universal.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_cracker
No I wasn't aware of that. Ok maybe I overreacted. In my country, cracker is a racial slur akin to the N word, though many people would tend to disagree with that. So I guess we were both in the wrong. I'm glad you liked the joke. I thought it was great the first time I heard it. All that build up just for the punchline to be a pun. Lol
@SlightlyEccentric Ook! :)
Nice to read all this :)
Czech Republic: Only country in the world that has more drunks per capita than Ireland
@SlightlyEccentric U sure? What about Russia? I heard, that Russia is number 1 in drunken people (especially youth and teens)
I'm sure there are Muslim countries that would completely disagree with that.
@SlightlyEccentric I’m sure too, but America literally created a country in Palestine to bring forth the apocalypse.
And, from my other country: oldest universal health care system.
Is there an option for "most ignorant comment?" Cause I'd like to award that to you.
@SlightlyEccentric oh right. I forgot. Nobody is supposed to actually SAY anything about the criminal activities of our "great" nation. Sorry, I forgot.
I guess to you China doesn't exist, who are as we speak, invading the continent of Africa and taking all of its resources to fuel their communist regime. But I guess you're the type of person who only thinks doing things like that is evil when whitey does it, eh?
@SlightlyEccentric Hey look. I live in this fucking country, which means all the bad shit that we do is done in my name and yours and everyone else, and I don't like it. What is even worse is the government denies all of it. At least the Chinese admit to the bad shit they do. Comparing us to them and whining "yeah but they are worse" suggests you have the maturity of a 5 year old. Go away.
No im not going to leave your unbelievable ignorance alone>at least the Chinese admit to the bad shit they doFunny I dont remember the Chinese ever admitting to the world they intentionally released the covid virus then murdered anyone who tried to report it. I also don't remember the Chinese admitting to running an inhumane organ harvesting ring in the same province where they have literal slave camps filled with Uyghur Muslims.I also don't remember the Chinese admitting to their unsurprising failure of Communism after they murdered and starved to death 65 million of their own people.I don't admit the US is a perfect country but for you to even suggest were responsible for all the world's woes is incredibly ignorant and factually wrong.
You can say whatever you want. It doesn't change reality. Comparing what the US does to what the Chinese do is a ridiculous argument. You might also want to consider the fact that there is no such thing as Chinese exceptionalism while Americans go around bleating about their exceptionalism to the whole world while acting like Monsters.
