I would personally say no for a few reasons. You have to understand most people are basically trained to be heterosexual by their parents religion because in most religions it is frowned upon if you do not sexually identify as heterosexual and some people will be extremely judgmental but some people will always be extremely judgmental due to their mentality. I would also say most people don't really get proper training or develop open minded brains which is a requirement if you are going to identify anything other than heterosexual. People are not told to question their sexualities they are just told here believe this and you can ask questions but based on your question our religion considers your view ethical or unethical since most religions consider the questioning of sexuality to be unethical. Most religions tell you that "man was created to love a woman and women to love men" so I think this can be a difficult obstacle for people to overcome. I now personally identify as asexual after I questioned my owne sexuality recently but I would say from my experience I was not really close minded when I was heterosexual rather I would say I never really had a reason to question it until I started thinking about the fact I abstain from sexual attraction during a relationship. I think although the LGBTQ community does get a lot of criticism for being a bit unreasonable towards certain jokes but in all honesty I really think society should understand some people are sensitive about certain things whereas other people would not care as much based on experience or based on that person's questioning of their own sexuality. I would say if someone identifies as heterosexual its not really close minded but rather I would classify that as normal or pre conditioned inside that person's mind and if the person starts having experiences that conflict with that then they should seek help, advice, or other people that can explain why they changed their sexualities from heterosexual such as myself.

There are certain aspects of gender that are, for example: girls like pink... that's obviously just a trend, 200 years ago, blue was the most feminine colour. Pink was only invented in the mid-victorian times, and it got popular fast, that's why there's the idea that girls like pink, men didn't wear it much back then.

Then again that's just the superficial stuff. Specific gender characteristics form very young, at birth actually, girls and boys brains are already different. Oestrogen and testosterone make them form differently.

If gender is a social construct, why, for 10,000 years, have men been providers and women been caregivers? Obviously because it works. We not only have different physiology but different brains. During puberty, men's fat turns into muscle, and women's muscle turns into fat. Men's reflexes are much faster than women's. Men need twice as much brain power to recognise emotions as women do. We have different strengths and weaknesses that complement each other.

So no gender isn't a social construct, and heterosexuality is something we are predisposed to by our ancestors. However, being bi or gay isn't a bad thing. People are attracted to different people. Be gay and bi in peace and I will be very happy for you to find someone you love. I do think gender is a spectrum though, there are some more feminine men, and some more masculine women too. This is also perfectly normal, those gender roles are just general guidelines, if you don't fit them that's also fine.

There are two genders. Period. There are men and women. Within that, there are hetero, bi and gay. The vast majority of people are hetero. It's an indication of the insanity of our current educational system and so-called "liberal" leaders to think it's closed minded to be hetero.

The only reason some people believe that gender is a social construct is because we have it so good in modern society. When times get tough, weak men fall by the wayside, and women who try to act manly get crushed, and for the same reason: when it comes down to "only the strong survive", the weak die. Many people confuse gender with biological sex. Sex is what we have between our legs and gender sums up the cultural expectations. I was born female so I'm expected to live my life a certain way (play with barbies, use make up, wear dresses, get a boyfriend, do "girly" things like painting my nails etc) because there's social pressure to fit into the role that was assigned at birth because of the genitalia I was born with. A lot of people do not fit into those two traditional roles set for men and women and so other genders came up when our societies became more tolerant of diversity.
If you do some research you'll find out that plenty other cultures had more than two genders, it's not something we just discovered
