See i only have a voice mail of him saying “ I just wanted to talk about the time we had together” and messages of him texting me everyday trying to get to talk to him.
It is hard to get in-depth instruction about this in this place. The best way is either to talk to a lawyer first or if you are still seeing the therapist. Find more concrete evidence. This is hard to deal with legally. Sorry you have to go through this.
I’m not seeing him anymore in blocked him on everything after it happened. But lawyers scare me and the court system. But I had time to come to terms with it so thank you seriously
That’s all I want
Good, I hate to think victims get discouraged from reporting. But getting him on cop’s radar is still a blow.
I have a message of him implying that something happened between us and messages of him texting me asking constantly to talk just overall inappropriate behavior from a therapist but overall no actual proof of what transpired in the room
He’s a private therapist, so I don't know if he’s part of any organization
He must have some certification to practice. How did you find him? Generally therapists advertise their certifications on their professional web page. Eventually the decision to press charges comes down to the prosecutor's office. They won't initiate a case unless they have reason to believe they can get a conviction.
He may have licensing of some sort. And if he does, there is a board. He needs to be stripped of his license (if he has one) so he can’t do this to others.
@MasterOfReality that’s what I’mHoping to do. I just don’t want him to have that outlet anymore
I first met him at building that did have other therapists, but then he left and started renting out spaces for himself I’ll look up if he got everything. Cause like master reality said I really just want him to get stripped of his ability to take clients. I don’t want him to go to jail or anything that process stresses me out
I know it’s cliche’, but that is very brave of you and it’s the right thing to do. You are definitely turning a bad event into as positive of one as possible, and you are good by protecting some other person (or persons) you don’t even know.
I just said I’m going to the cops , but if you know how stuff works in America and it did happen a year ago because I was too afraid of the system because it doesn’t do what’s right the majority of the time whether it’s for the accused or the accuser
Well they take your statement and after that sure they tell you what will happen next
Okay so... what happens next is what I’m asking for... because if I’m gonna do this I don’t like going in blind. Hence why my update on my post
The most effective thing you can do is to make a complaint to the state board that licensed him.
your post is vague
