Why do people not like STEM fields?

Question

Every once in a while, a philosophy or art major comes by to say that the world would be “boring” without them and that STEM is not the greatest compilation of majors that exist.

it’s quite obvious that these kinds of people do not have the IQ to understand even the most basic of STEM concepts. Yet another example of the high IQ being demonized by those who cannot accomplish the same feats.

I flourish in the STEM field. I could also be in construction or a trade like plumbing, HVAC or electrical but I prefer to only do those for myself, friends and family.
I do have a creative mind but I prefer the analytical problem solving challenges that I encounter in STEM.

Everyone should pick their major based on their interests and strength.

It has nothing to do with their IQ, everyone getting a major degree in any field should be proud of it as it is a huge achievement.

Well, their verbal IQ may be high or higher, and there are a lot of people out there that are either lazy or have convinced themselves that they "aren't good at math", when they might be if they spent more time on it and didn't just give up.
