and yet junkies want us to pay for there food, housing and medical care... Freedom!! !
Once these things become legal you will have kids thinking there is nothing wrong with them and they will try them. Hollywood does no favors portraying drug use as normal and the Beatles were the ones that got this started in the first place. I used to drive by a section of the city where there are methadone clinics and see firsthand the aftermath of drugs. Drug use should be stigmatized instead of being glamorized.
Wait, you want the republicans in government to tell me what I can and can’t put into my body? You want it to be illegal to eat a certain kind of mushroom? What other aspects of my life do you want the government to control? Why do republicans/conservatives hate freedom so much? They just want to control your life.
I want this poison to be illegal just like I want it to be illegal to shoot somebody. The result is ultimately the same.
@exitseven no, if I do mushrooms it doesn’t kill someone. That is easily one of the stupidest comparisons any person can make and you made it.
no it doesn't kill people. It turns them into zombies. Soon we will be a nation of zombies. No wonder zombie movies are so popular.
@exitseven you sound like a fascist who wants to tell people to behave a certain way, to put only government approved things in their bodies. That’s what you are arguing. Ordering me to not take mushrooms because you don’t like it. Conservatives love taking away freedoms.
I grew up in the 80's and saw what this stuff did to kids. There is a reason it disappeared for about 20 years because it screwed up so many people. It is a little disturbing to me that people are using this stuff again. And it is interesting that you are giving me the same stuff out of the same druggie handbook that people had in the 80s.
Portugal never legalize drugs, they decriminalized it. There is not evidence it was the decriminalization of drugs that led to the reduction of addiction. Most of that is based off people wanting it to be true. From other studies, in the US they found that addiction rates for drugs like Meth, where based on two things, supply and purity. With supply and purity lowering, addiction followed and vice verse.https://youtu.be/UlYC0syLe7g?t=820
And all the while it was illegal. Weird. If meth was legal, would you do it?
So your saying that people that are vulnerable aren't being tricked into using hard drugs as means of control? I think it's a lot less about Laissez-faire than you would think. Honesty, It's not shocking that hard drug user and forced prostitution tend to go hand and hand.
That’s not an answer to the question I asked.
The question you asked was a fallacy. More access to drugs = more drug use. It's not about me, it's about society as a whole.
Just because I won't doesn't mean, others would be more likely to do drugs like meth if the availability where higher.
Everyone who wants to do meth now is able to do meth.
