What about if there isn't a pandemic? What's your stance?
I still don’t agree with. It would bring in more illnesses, diseases, more way to smuggle hard drugs in. Pandemics may occur way more often than they do now with the border being open for everyone.
Right, among other things like hard and dangerous criminals and most importantly the sovereignty is put at risk under such philosophy.
Exactly! America would be very very overpopulated. Not saying America is the best but many out of the country people migrate here. Getting into the pandemic, we are running low on resources right now, imagine how it would be with more people here.
America is relativity empty with only about 300 million plus inhabitants in it for a mega nation it is. Open borders will definitely screw over smaller nations like Denmark, Ireland, Iceland etc.
Yeah I get it, but the way America is ran money wise, it would get way too risky adding more people into the scenario
Definitely I was just making a point. Open borders for the U. S. and you think wages are bad now, having a ton of desperate poor and hungry people coming who are willing to work longer and harder will pose a serious disadvantage for you since they will be more than happy to take a salary well below you will require for labor. 🤷♂️
Yeah the problem is , even the minimum wage people are demanding for isn’t even enough to living comfortably on. Honestly most people need to make $40 an hour these days to live comfortably and then $50 an hour for more expensive states. There would be many many people on welfare and I couldn’t even imagine what the street of NYC would look like. Like worse than they are now.
You're trying to live extremely comfortable and safe with $40 a hour.. 😅Realistic the minimum wage adjusted for inflation in the U. S. should be around $22 to $23 a hour and around $30 to $32 a hour for States like California and New York.Under Roosevelt when he introduced the minimum wage as part of his new deal nearly all homes had only 1 income household, you can buy car and own a house and feed a family of 5 comfortablely. Those days are super long gone.
I make around $25 -$30 an hour right now and I can’t see myself being able to live comfortably on my own with that money lol. I guess everyone’s definition of comfortable is different. Then again, I also live in a very expensive state to live in.
What state is that?
Surprised. I wouldn't consider Connecticut a expense state. 🤣
Really? Lol taxes are crazy here and things are getting more and more expensive because people are migrating from NYC to here. Houses are doubling in price and gas right now here is $3.50.
But there's nothing to do in Connecticut. It's super cold mostly throughout the year. You have no beaches..I can understand New York City, L. A. Miami, San Diego being expensive because of great weather and very good entertainment cities, but Connecticut? Nah.
Plus the beaches
Exactly 😭 we are expensive as hell here for no reason. $40 to go to a beach in the summer if you aren’t from that town. Some are generous and will only charge $20
Why don't you leave that state?
My immediate and only family I talk to is here lol on top of the fact that I am going to school here and my boyfriend has established a business here. It’s very pricey but very hard to leave because it is an overall likeable state to live in, but pricey for what it is
Oh ok. Yeah being around family is extremely important. Never leave your family behind. 👍👍
Yes lol I have had past partners try and move me out of state but I just can’t leave my family behind.
More like a scamdemic.
@manchild2018 it may be , but even then the logic doesn’t make any sense.
@kyleelyn199723 They are gonna push open borders until they officially tell us we are a part of a one world government which we already are they just are not telling us. The UN is all together they are not enemies or barely getting along they are working together against us and of course that includes our president.
100% in agreement.
