So you thought the armed cop’s partner was abusing them?
I'm saying it could be either the cop or the spouse.
Again you think it’s the spouse of the armed police officer doing the abusing? Right.
Maybe not in every case but if they have to make the stat as ambiguous as it is, it sounds like that has happened at least once in the data that produced that statistic.
Lots of industries have similar percentages. Like trucking.
That doesn't confirm or deny what I have said.
so what? we start leveling off occasional slaps in the face and just count real injuries?
That shouldn't matter. What should matter is the partner's malice for the other that is great enough for the abuser to feel ok with inflicting harm on someone they supposedly love and care for. Regardless of whether it's a slap or a stab to the throat.
thats harder to prosecute than actual violence.
How is domestic violence not *actual* violence? If anything, to get someone arrested for domestic violence, all the woman needs to do is make a claim and, by the Duluth Model, the man is instantly arrested no questions asked because the model always assumes he is the perpetrator.
You think all men are are arrested if a woman makes a claim to the cops? Naive. Doesn’t even happen with rape.
Maybe it's because the reporting usually doesn't happen when the victim and the rapist are in the same location, where DV cases do. Especially, if you wait years after the supposed rape happened. Even still, the arrest doesn't mean the man is instantly declared guilty and thrown in prison, an investigation usually follows.

I guess the aggregate percentage being 4x the average troubles me.
More leftist ignorance
Yeah I wouldn’t go that far. I do think there’s a culture in police and military for traditional manly ideology. Not necessarily political.
You’re misquoting. Lesbians report having experienced DV.
You're an absolute idiot.
You think lesbian women abuse each other…when women make up like 1% of violent cases?
Defund, reorganize and re-fund? Sure.
I wouldn't date a cop, but it's crystal clear at this point that PROSECUTORS are the problem and reducing the number of police, demonizing them and not giving them political support results in massive increases in property crime and violent crimes.
Maybe they should stop pepper spraying protesters to deathwww.google.com/url
Only if we lower the level of harm.
I don't really think the level of harm is the right metric for this. I think an attack, no matter what the level of harm, should be counted as an attack. It sure as hell is for men as they get arrested. In fact, for men, they don't need to attack a woman to get arrested - all that has to happen is the woman telling the police you threatened her whether you did or not, and off you go.
