I noticed in certain circumstances sometimes some people like friendly knowledgeable people, but to some cases others prefer a serious condescending person, why is this?
Is it because they dislike the attention friendly knowledgeable people get? & want the attention all to themselves
In a class or anywhere, are there people who dislike knowledgeable people?

I actually refused and rejected all kinds of scholarships, invitations and offers to join some programs for advanced studies (this, as a kid and a young student) and the main reason was because of the people and the environment they had created and promoted... which was one of absolute competition, grudge and all kinds of negative vibes and approaches to "superior education"
and I have to be very clear here, I only refer to the very specific place and time I happened to live and experience some time ago because not everyone nor all places are or will be like this

Because people who are confronted with those who have more knowledge than them feel ignorant. Therefore they go to great lengths not to have such a comparison. Furthermore, American society has always promoted an extreme cult of ignorance. This cult is based on social envy of people of culture and has its roots in Puritan anti-Catholicism. In which the person of culture was the Catholic bishop who systematically dismantled the Puritan doctrines. This site for example is the glory of the aversion to knowledge and I think it's a good approximation of what North American society is like.

In the US? It's almost half the country pretending that all opinions on an issue are equally valid. The entire scientific and medical community recommends getting a Covid vaccination, almost everyone with any education does, but half the country prefers to believe to some TV preacher with no scientific knowledge who says it's a government plot to implant microchips.

If a person truly knowledgeable he will be hated the most.
On the other hand condescending people will be respected bc of their ignorance

Unfortunately, that's today's world for you; everywhere you look, ignorance is being promoted...
I like knowledgeable people though but, some some people might dislike the "teacher's pet" if there's any.

Knowledgeable People are a threat to certain governments so it can be more then a dislike. Certain Governments depend on citizens being Dumbed Down to stay in power.

Yes. Trump was elected because of his anti-intellectualism.
