What are your thoughts on Kobe Bryant DEAD at the age of 41?

- Shocking and unexpected, but I'm tired of hearing about it
There were more important celebrities who died and no one gave a shit about them.
I feel worst for his 13 year old daughter.
It pisses me even more knowing this could have been avoided. What kind of idiot flies a helicopter in foggy conditions in mountainous terrain? Is this still revelant? - for all you basket ball fans it must feel like the same loss that British rally fans felt when colin mccrae met with a similar fate. its horrible to see great talent wiped outIs this still revelant?

- People die every day and some are children that have died of cancer at only 6 years old. Why should one person's death be more important than any other. It's what good you do in your life that matters, not how much money you make or how well you play a game.Is this still revelant?
It's not even about the money or being more or less important? It's a tragedy regardless. Kobe was a celebrity, inspired many, hundred of people knew him and had him as an example, inspiration naturally his death will get much more attention than any other non famous person.
- Anonymous+1 yThat’s crazy, life really doesn’t care whether you’re rich or poor, tomorrow isn’t promised for anyone. Celebrity or not. I can’t imagine the pain his family and friends and everyone else who loves him must be feeling. A sad day for a lot of people. RIP.Is this still revelant?

3460- You know what I don’t understand? Great people, doctors, police man, firefighters, teachers, nurses, dispatch, etc. die all the time and they don’t get the same care or consideration it seems. Kobe Bryant, I’m sure was a great man, but he was a wealthy basketball player. He paid millions shooting a ball into a net while people watched. You know the teacher, who works 50+ hours, has to commute a long distance, has a single daughter, and cares for kids? What happens if she dies? Barely anything... I’d wager the job she does is vastly more important and has directly helped more children than we know. She deserves those millions, but in a capitalist society, even rappers who make crappy music that is drowned out by loud background sounds can make millions, while a police officer trying to better the community in the Bronx is paid pennies compared to that. Weird world we live in right? Kobe Bryant, like all celebrities have been glorified by the magical tube called the television... We idolize and put on a pedestal people who don’t really do an amazing thing that actually helps society in any significant manner. They just entertain us... and they get paid so much money...React

I would argue he has done more for children and charity then you ever have. You can go into your immature hate speech of the guy and say he is just here to entertain us but you obviously haven't done your homework on the MAN he was. Kobe has raised over 42 million dollars for charity... worked tirelessly for (make a wish) foundation. Dude you need to get a grip. What the hell have you done?
This is hate speech? Google a bit coward, this isn’t hate speech. 42 million dollars is a drop in the bucket for a man like him who makes millions while a teacher in the Bronx makes a quarter of a quarter of a quarter of what he does, all while being a single parent and has to commute a long distance to better the children of a crappy neighborhood. You know what I’m talking about, don’t act fucking stupid in what my intentions are in writing what I wrote. I never said he was a bad man, I just said the distance of crying and care over this man’s death and all other “average” people is ions apart for what he actually does if you sit down and think about. I’ve given to the homeless and I’m dedicating my life to servicing the public as a police officer and soldier. But... if I die, not nearly the same amount of people will cry for me as they do Kobe Bryant, even though I probably have more in common with them than Kobe Bryant ever will...
"He makes millions and wouldn’t cry over an “average” or “mundane” persons death."
That isn't someone hating? That isn't HATE? How the FUCK do you know he wouldn't cry over an average person's death? You little punk! How dare you speak the way you do in this society. It's fucking shameful.

You know what I meant by that, either way that isn't hate speech.
You know better than to throw around that millennial/post modernist term haphazardlyYou can make an argument without the hate. Kobe did great things for children and many charities... doesn't mean I don't feel the same about a soldier who risks his or her life on the battlefield and for you to even suggest that people who are sad about kobe's death aren't sad about the men and women of our armed forces is fucking ignorant and immature on your part... and frankly is disappointing to see.
I looked up to Kobe Bryant when I was younger and still liked basketball. He was my favorite player and loved playing as him all time during video games. The LA Lakers was my favorite team ever.
I’m sure he was a great and honorable man. Honestly I’m a little more devastated by the death of his daughter aboard with him too. Also Coach, the people on board who died aren’t even talked about or mentioned!!
Anyways, I might’ve been too passionate about my response so I apologize, but deep down in your mind I know you know what I’m trying to get at.
KB was not a bad man and he should be mourned. It wasn't passion.. it was hate. So I mourn Kobe Bryan'ts death so that means I don't care about the teacher who works 50 hours a week and has to commute long distance? Who the fuck are you to assume that I or anyone else doesn't feel just as "passionate" as you do about these kinds of people? You would wager that the job she does is vastly more important? And we don't? Kobe has done and give his time and money to great things.. it's not his fault he was so called "glorified" by the magical tube called television. Many people are... is that there fault now too? You need to THINK before you type.
You’re so wrong on this lmao.
I’ve already told you what I mean and I even wrote a post about it so you can check that out.
Look at @OldAndWiser said.
Pretty much nailed it and everyone on there was on the same page as me.
Again, not hate, passion yes, not hate at all.STOP BEING FUCKING SHEEP PEOPLE... STOP IDOLIZING HUMAN BEINGS THAT DO AN UNIMPORTANT THING IN SOCIETY, BUT JUST BECAUSE THEYRE ON TV, THEY GET SOME GOD COMPLEX ATTACHED...
You have hate in your heart son. That is not passion. I don't give a shit what @OlderAndWiser has said or not said. You need to think before you talk. Because if you don't you get... ME.That’s not hate on Kobe Bryant just sheep thinking in general that people seem to exhibit old timer.
If you don’t see the sense in what I wrote then it looks like your old age hasn’t blessed you with wisdom then coward. You have no clue what you are talking about. Saying I am an "old timer" doesn't change that.
No biggies though, people argue and disagree that’s fine. We can all still be friends and work perfectly together despite arguments.
Have a good night or day, wherever you are.
- He and my cousin are the same age, and I know Kobe was a huge inspiration for the post Michael Jordan basketball crowd. Since his retirement, he threw the weight of his celebrity behind other athletes, especially his own daughter Gianna, who also died in the crash on the way to a game (he coached the girls team). He was a big voice for women's athletics. Say what you want about him, he is a legend and will be missed.React

- We got 3.3 billion views of Kobe's dead yesterday on one of the blogs in China since the news came out.
Everyone talked about it everywhere they could. I am not his fan, he was a good player. Every dead is sad, it contains a lot of tears behind even if we don't know that person or the story. But the whole society or media is talking about that is too overwhelming. Only if that brings people to realize life is full of unexpected events and start to cherish people they love around them then it is meaningful. But always, you saw a lot of people express those emotions without knowing him in or not in person.
I wish they could have done that when he was still alive.ReactLike

- Anonymous+1 yI don't give a shit. He's just some random other celeb, that's probs a mean narcissist like all of them. I don't know him personally, he's not a child, he's not some dude who did something amazing, he's not someone who had a horrible life. He's some older rich dude who had an amazing life who just died in an accident. Not a sob story. If anything people should be more sad over his daughter's death. Now that's a little sad.React

- Too young and very tragic. There were others that lost their lives too, which I'm sure will be quite overshadowed by losing such a public figure.React

- I feel like so many black men that we look up to are dying. It breaks my heart. He left a legacy behind. Many people are proud of the man that he was. He did not die in vain. It just further shows that we need to enjoy this life that we are given. Cherish it because tomorrow isn’t promised.React

- I remember he was one of those Rare NBA Players that was good enough to come straight out of High School. Kobe was the most Explosive Scorer I've ever watched on TV. I would say even more so than Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan was a more Consistent Scorer. His Former Coach Phil Jackson even said Kobe was the hardest worker he's ever coached.React

- My thoughts are: quite a few other people died in that crash and it’s sad that Kobe is the only one being talked about. While I think what happened is a tragedy, it has no effect on my life. That’s as much thought as I have for itReact

- I think he is one of many who died in that day. He just happens to be famous. I'm not emotional about his death because I don't know him and he wasn't an idol for me growing up. He died. That's it.React
