How can they believe they deserve equal pay when they can't even beat a children's team?

Against that age group likely not.
A boys national U-17 team will crush a women’s national team though.

I don't know what this team was, but I got the impression that it was a small local U-15 team. Back hen I played there was no such thing as girls or women's soccer. I haven't even spent much time watching them. But I find it hard to believe a local team of U-15 could beat a national women's team who are the best of the best throughout the entire country.
In some countries, they likely would. The U. S. women's team is a powerhouse by women's teams standards, and would probably beat most u-15 teams when fully committed. But it's not that easy … even looking at the photos, you can see the u-15 boys are towering over the women's team members. Speed is an issue as well: top boys high school track athletes in the U. S. would be winning world women's events. The physical advantages are real.

What's Your Opinion? Sign Up Now!You claimed they can’t even beat the boys team. You know they can beat the boys team if they tried, it’s implied in the details of the link. Tsk tsk.
It actually does. I am assuming you know the minimal about soccer, but being an informal meet they likely didn’t have their starters playing nor did they have much time to practice. If treated like a World Cup match they women would have won. That’s the deceptive part of your question. But if you are not willing to admit it then oh well.
Ok, that’s the proof I needed; clearly I assumed you knew more about soccer and friendlies... you know less by that statement. I would suggest doing to research on this subject. Ty for the discussion. Cheers
The US men's soccer team is not that good relative to other national men's teams, but compared to the US women's team they are far superior. The US men's team would utterly destroy the US women's team, and that is the point here. They are not worthy of the same pay because they are not in the same universe in terms of talent and they do not bring in nearly as much revenue.
Women are encouraged and supported here too, but men's sports are big business and bring in enormous amounts of money, much more than women's sports. Fr example, there are both men's and women's NBS basketball leagues. Men's games are a big deal, well attended, very expensive to attend, lots of commercial involvement, advertising, etc. Women's games are typically mostly empty and there is relatively little money involved. That's because women's basketball is pretty boring to watch and the skill level is so much lower.
