@AaronKrieger Some people think it does because longer arms give more leverage. However they forget that the mass of the arm is also greater; as well as the drag coefficient. So any speed gains you might get for the leverage are lost in mass and aerodynamics.
That only carries weight when having to go a short distance depending on the sport and situation. For baseball and tennis height does matter because of speed over long distances or a decent amount. There's a reason why a lot of tennis and baseball players are tall.
