Thanks for the MHO. I wish I could find a strobe based replacement for an GE old flip flash. I have an old fisher price 110 that uses them.
Thr cube style
I have a cube adapter for an old 126 that uses the individual bulbs. The is the cartridge of 8 that you flip over half way through. I don’t know how people delt with such a Balkanized market back when these were popular. It’s frustrating.
These right And you're looking for an electronic strobe flash conversion right.
Hey I just got off the phone with my uncle. He told me about how in the 80s how he converted a bulb flash to electronic flash. He didn't remember how he did it. So I did a half ass internet search. Nothing to extensive, just a basic search and I found this.I found it interesting. It might give you some ideas.www.diyphotography.net/.../
Here I found another one. This is a modern version of my uncles conversion. www.instructables.com/.../
Sweet. Looks like I have a winter project ahead of me!
I figure you can make leads to go into the flash bulb holder. I'm will make one to for my real old cameras from the 50s.Thanks for putting ideas in my head.
Do you know where on-line? That would help a lot.
I'll ask him later

That's what I do now. But i was wondering if the old stock runs out. Could I still get itI highy doubt it would run out, but its a thought that crossed my mind.
I've had the same thought with peel-apart film packs, I buy the Fujifilm FP-100C whenever I see it, and refridge it until I need it, but the stocks keep falling and the prices per pack keep rising.
Thats not the point, I'm the type of guy that likes using vintage and antique camera gear the way it was made.
I understand what you mean i have old tube radios and 35 mm cameras from the 70s that i collect i though you just were interested in them for daily use
Tube radios. Don't get me started on Vacuum tube. Some of my ham radio gear is tube. Some even dates the 1940s and still in working order
😂 i have a swan cygnent 270b HF radio that still glows and smells fantastic when it warms up and breathes
I like transistors for daily HF use because those voltages on the tubes scare me especially with an ungrounded metal chassis on the cynet but it’s probably well isolated yet it is so old who knows what has happened to the insulation inside
I still key them old stuff up at least once a month. I hang out with a bunch of old timers on the air. Use of phone with these old rigs. They have that sound over the airwaves that the modern stuff can't do
Yea you are right about the sound of the tubes but it would probably suck trying QRP jt65 (my favorite mode) but can't beat it for the nice rich mellow sound on SSB or AM what band do you use most for it
AM band 12 and 15 meters
