Not sure how well that one will work, but yes.

Yes one of those will allow you to connect to a WiFi network. If you have a spare ethernet cable then plug it in to the network port on the back and into the broadband device
Is that one good for gaming
It makes no odds, wifi connector is pretty much the same as any other... although you have a higher chance to get latency as you are using wifi. Every "pro gamer" would use a Ethernet cable plugged directly in, its all i ever used and would use for gaming
No I just bought on a 300mbps for my gaming pc
Well then install it I guess. : ) Lol
oh and dont listen to people saying to not game.. you do as you wish with your hardware, you own it after all.
The Ethernet is a wired connection and not wireless. Unfortunately, having the LAN plugged in will not resolve the WiFi connection.
@SueShe but a LAN connection is FAR faster and way more reliable in any case i wish she included more details about her machine. I work in IT, i am absolutely sure i can help if i knew more.
@worldscolide Of course the LAN is faster and reliable. But she is specifically mentioning the WiFi.The picture she is showing tells nothing about the potential issue she has with her WiFi. It could be anything, from outdated drivers, to wrongly configured IP, to a failure of the WiFi card (if not on the MB) or any type of conflict.
@SueShe Exactly If i knew more i could help.. Its frustrating lol
@worldscolide If it is an external WiFi adapter that is connected to the USB, unplugging the USB device and plugging it back into a different USB may help. In this case, it could also be that the USB controller is faulty.
@SueShe yes or she could be missing drivers..
@worldscolide To conclude: Without knowing more about the problem, she is screwed :-(
@actually someone with knowledge. OP doesn't want help it seems and only replys to people that have no clue so whatever.
@OpenWine pretty much
Yea see my gaming one doesn’t hook to WiFi it’s like I NEED the Ethernet or it’s a no go which is whatever cause WiFi can be spotty. She needs to edit this shit and add more context lmfao
exactly. the only machines i own which touch wifi are laptops and phones. Everything else is dedicated gigabit Ethernet.. and in the case of my server its 10 GB Ethernet.
@worldscolide yes my phone uses the WiFi and my kids tablets but like my PlayStation, computer and the Xbox staying wired because gaming on WiFi is shit even if it is the fastest you can pay for 🤦♀️
Do something good with your comments instead of bossing people around :)
WTFAre you talking about
I could ask you the same thing. What's something better to do? Perhaps go to the beach specifically in what I assume is your country of Italy so then instead, she can spend time at the overcrowded covid 19 wards of hospitals minutes later? Yes, much better than just a bit of laptop gaming isn't it? :)
Firstly that's not true. My little niece knows more about computers than I ever will.
@IlluminatiExposed yeah probably how to turn it on and sign in to Facebook.
lol - laughing out loud is either too long or too short
