the 3 strip process was literally 3 reels of film going through 3 different projectors at the movie theaters, red, green and blue. A fourth projector showed the actual black & white movie. The 4 projectors were on one machine, but there were 4 separate reels of film running together

with one color print, there is no red, green, blue things. So how are they getting the color in mid 1950s? Just one strip and color?

Kodak developed color processing, where a color negative was created. Technicolor enhanced those colors so they looked richer and brighter on the screen

So one negative and one positive then it is color. Instead of 3 negatives and 3 positives.
