That's not how it works, kid. You've been fed bullshit by watching too many Hollywood movies.

If all the ice melts it would not create a blue planet - but a white one, as all that water would freeze over. There would be little life and humans would not be among it as we could not adapt fast enough.

If climate change was to turn extreme heat, then again, all life would perish as the ground and sky would become parched and air unbreathable. Not to mention the mantle would shift and ground would be wrecked with constant earthquakes.

The power and technology needed to maintain a city size mass in the sky or space is currently beyond human capacity.

It would be extremely hard to leave a planet submerged under water and if humans developed to live in a water environment I can't imagine the problems it would be to construct space habitats with those in mind. Just having the need for air is already stretching our production, material and technology to its very limits and that is when we have easy access to material through above-ground mining and stable launch sites and production sites.

The only sustainable future would be to get off the planet as soon as possible so the one where earth dries up is probably the one with the most potential.
