Do you find it odd when people that you have never seen or spoken with online act like they know you?

No, because I am 100% the same online and off line. So they would have to know me a bit just from interacting with me online.

Thinking of people I never met online: I recently had a relative of a friend's ex I never met before talking to me at a party like he'd known me for 5 years, asking advice about a personal issue. I'm cool with that. What I'm not cool with are people who try to take advantage and it doesn't matter if they're a close relative or a total stranger.
