    • Just tell me where you want to embark so I can bring your stratching post, hammock and litter box.

    • Meet me in New York City. Don’t worry about a litter box, I’m trained to use the toilet.

    • All right, glad to hear it. I am embarking in Bremerhaven, I guess.

  • I love cruises but that would take such a long time and they only let you off the ship for like 5 to 6 or 7 hours to tour the town and that wouldn't be hardly any time to see the big major cities and then off you go to another city

  • we cruise all the time, we love the socialising, the easy way of holidaying on board, with ease I can for example, go to a show on board on my own because its safe to do so,
expensive but so lovely, you meet people from all over the world, we go for the casual dress cruises, my husband says he won't dress like a penguin for anyone,

  • As a person who worked on a cruise ship and had to endure a South Pacific cruise I would say never again. You have to be a seasoned veteran to handle that. You can go as far as 8 days not seeing land. It does something to you.

  • Nah. SO expensive and only a day or two in each place.
I'd rather just fly to one country for 2 weeks.

  • On a ''cruise ship'', I assume. No for three reasons: Most of the time I'd see water only; so I would be forced to participate in the useless entertaining programs these ships ''offer'' to distract from the fact that all they do is carrying you around with nothing to offer that any hotel can (and does) offer better. Being incarcerated, I cannot even escape to look for alternatives. During stopovers I will not have sufficient time to explore the hosting place; cruise ship owners don't love the harbor fees. Further, these visits will be selected out of my influence. I will not likely see places that I want to see - unless it's a 5-years cruise. Lastly, a cruise ship as a way to travel is the most uneconomic choice: Any other means of transportation is quicker and causes less cost in operation compared to mileage. As a customer I (over) pay this and my reward is to be fed with frozen, mass-bunkered food and made drunk for free regularly, so that I keep quiet. Environmental pollution also is at highest level. See more i. e. here: www.globalcitizen.org/.../
Also to consider: I. e. I saw a ship of 4000 guests landing in Penang; when all passengers rushed for sightseeing - traffic in town broke down; it was a human Tsunami; that no one enjoyed. Cruise ships as of today are harmful in my eyes, rather than a recreation.

  • Any ocean cruise on an 70-80ft lwl ketch or yawl I would/have with a good crew. If you are talking cruise ship, I would never get near one. I can't stand commercial flights or commercial cruises. I am forced to use commercial flights though.

  • oh hell yes.
for those who have not been on a cruise, try a short one first. do not recommend one that caters to 24-hr parties, tho.

  • I would love to travel around the world but I am not sure about doing it on a floating buffet where you get a very brief time at ports overrun by tourists occasionally

  • No I get serious cabin fever, and I don't like traveling that much. Plus hygiene regulations on cruise ships are very loose.

  • Depends. Who else is on board? Long days in the middle of the ocean might get boring. I'd bring a lot of books.
