Since you live in Europe, you'd probably know many things about that country. I can understand that some people don't prefer cities. Can you tell me some things that you think are good in the Netherlands? :)
They don't care about your race/sexuality or whatever. They treat everyone very kind. Most people are open-minded there. My aunt lives in Utrecht. Tbh I'm really not a huge fan of Netherlands when it comes to the buildings etc :) But the most beautiful European city is Vienna for sure
Awesome! Actually I've an opportunity to study at universities in the US and in the Netherlands. The one issue I had in mind was the cultural integration. I'm Asian and know there are millions of Asians in American society, but not in the Netherlands, so I was wondering if Dutch people are open to becoming good friends or best friends instead of just treating me like guests in their country. It would be very helpful if you can comment on it. And I can't argue you. I think Vienna is the most beautiful city too. I actually have a friend there in a town nearby :)
Wow, that's pretty cool. Congrats :) It's really up to you but the Netherlands wouldn't be a bad choice
Haha I wish I was more clear in my mind. I'm not decisive when I have two good choices. That's the reason I posted my question, so that I can get some direction from you and other helpful people. Thank you for your help though. I do like Europeans because you all seem to be very nice and helpful, but folks on reddit seem to disagree. May I ask what country you are from? :)
Yeah, of course :) So I was born and live in Austria. My parents are from Turkey but we do have some Persian/Kurdish/Caucasian and even Greek and South Italian roots :) Where are you from if I may ask
Awesome! I've heard that Turks are disliked in German speaking region, be it Deutschland or Austria. Is this just a myth or it's true? I'm from a South Asian country popular for its spices and weird people. Weird enough that we tried to make our own version of baklava :D
I mean I don't get hate because of beeing Turkish. It really depends, racists are everywhere racists. Oh cool. Making a nee version of Baklava could be the reason of the 3 worldwar 😂
Can you elaborate please? Why do you think American healthcare system is broken?
lol, it's twice as expensive a every other developed country, it's not universal/free... they have much worse health outcomes (more kids under 5 die in the USA than any other wealthy country, same with women during pregnancy)... Americans literally die because they can't afford insulin. If that isn't a broken system what is?
Wow! I didn't know that. I never imagined people can't afford insulin in any country. I'm sorry. Do people with high income, let's say someone earning $100 thousand a year, face same issues?
No, if you make 100,000 per year in the USA, the healthcare is good. It's just terrible for most people, because most people don't make that lol
Ohh I see! Can you give me an estimate how much income is considered enough in your opinion to live a decent life, nothing bling bling, in some random big city?
I just now looked up different polls by Gallop and academic institutions on state of household finances. You weren't kidding. Many people can't even afford a 400 dollar unexpected expenditure. It's nuts!
Thanks to you. I've posted a new question. If you can, please ask your American friends to answer it. It would be helpful:) Can't Anericans afford basic healthcare? A mom cried a lot? ↗

What are your reasons for choosing Netherlands?
I am bored with my country. I would like to experience something new.
