What was the worst air travel experience you have ever had?

Traveling with Etihad. I was with a group of friends (all around 40 years old) and we were late onto the flight. We were all sitting apart from each other. One friend was traveling with his wife, and on the way to his seat he had to squeeze past a flight attendant (he's a big guy). He touched her back on the way past to let her know he was behind her and she accused him of sexual assault right then and there in front of his wife. It became a big thing with several flight attendants involved.

Eventually things settled down and we took off. We had paid in advance for food and drinks on the plane as it was a long flight, but the crew refused to serve any of our group alcohol on the flight even though we were all sober.

We were then meet by security when we landed and were escorted to our gate to meet our connecting flight which wasn't due for another three hours. We were not allowed to leave the gate or go to the shops etc. It was all round really shit that we all got punished for a misunderstanding.

Sick, 10 hrs in economy on a flight my office paid for, and a stolen phone made for the worst flight ever.

I was very sick from eating bad food in China. I gave up my business class ticket to come home 2 days early. On the flight I was so disoriented I left my cell phone in the lavatory. When I went back for it , the phone was gone / stolen. Flight attendants couldn’t get it back for me!

Turkish airlines. I almost cried.
Turbulance all throughout the trip. The plane was constantly shaking. I think we flew right through all of the weather cells, and didn't slow down either.
Very very rude flight attendents.
Unorganized system.

I've only flown twice in my entire life (one Roundtrip).

Back in 2009, I flew from Ohio to Colorado, and back.

The only "bad" thing that happened was the woman who found out I brought a bottle that was banned at the airport was very rude to me.

I was flying out of Tampa/St Pete and I had eaten someplace sketchy and I think I got food poisoning. The flight was full in coach so I was upgraded to first class and it was a champagne flight but I didn't have any. I just sat quietly and tried really hard not to puke.

Was out visiting family, caught a ride for the 2 hour drive to the airport. Got on the plane and learned there were mechanical problems, sat on the plane for 2 hours before they gave up. Waited for customer service for over an hour before they told us there was no way we were getting out that day.
Family had to make the 4 hour round trip back and do it all over again the next day

i chose sick while traveling. but i wasn't really sick. just for some reason my one tooth really hurt during the flight. I don't know if that can be caused by altitude but it was really bad and it stopped when we were on the ground again. next flight, it didn't happen.

Flying from Texas to Ny in December.
So many delayed flights. Had to spend a total of 3-4 nights at 3 different airports just to get home.
Then by the second night i was sick 😭

Flying into LaGuardia once, high winds and pouring rain. I guess the captain was determined to get that place on the ground. We touched both wingtips, landing sideways, but he did get it on the ground with no casualties.
