The FBI charged 50 people this morning including college coaches, celebs, and counselors in a massive college admissions scandal dubbed "Operation Varsity Blues" . The colleges in question where students were admitted were: Yale, USC, UCLA, University of Texas, Stanford. Wake Forest, and Georgetown..
The methods of cheating include paying $15,000 to $6 5 million to add students to athletic teams they had no or little experience in, and using learning disabilities as a fake excuse to get extra time on the ACT and SAT. As well as having people correct the tests to make it seem like they got better scores than they earned.
It's kinda shocking but not surprising. This kinda thing has possibly been going on for years.
