When my daughter was in elementary school they did intruder drills and bomb threat drills. Sad. I think the intruder drills consisted of huddling in a corner with the lights out which wouldn't have done anything. In high school they had a lock down. They were looking for a student with a gun. Luckily it was found to be a false report so they say but it scared the shit out of me. My daughter texted me scared which isn't her normal and sent me pictures of the police swat team with rifles in the office. I was about a hour away in a mall. I tried to keep her calm talking about what she wanted to eat the night. I cried a bit sitting in a seating area and I told another woman next to me who was a store employee what was going on. That was close enough for me.Before that incident while I was gone there was a shoot out in front of my apartment. Teenagers got into a gun fight shot in front of my apartment, ran and shot through the breezeway and continued shooting at the back of my apartment from what other residents told me. When I got home the police were looking for bullets in the wall outside of my bedroom. Probably a bad drug deal. The apartment was 5 minutes from the high school.
It’s an act😂 So it’s all fake lol
Pretty much staged.
😂😂 sure lol... stop drinking so much hahah
You can always prove me wrong lol
Go to there... and tell me lol
Yeah, I thought the hearing protection was odd too..."Gonna go out and kill people, but I still need to make sure I don't damage my ears."

Ya i always wonder where are those gun owners. They never seem to be any around but apparently everyone seems to be the next clint eastwood here
El Paso does not have very many privately owned firearms or CHL holders, especially compared to the rest of Texas. Additionally, any CHL holder is going to be more concerned with getting themselves or their family out of the area and more than likely aren't going to go out of their way to find and take down a shooter. "Good guys with a gun" is a great concept until it faces reality where in truth it's somewhat of a deterrent but isn't going to replace the police or stop a psychopath who is ready to die anyway.
So you want to take all the guns away. Criminals will always get guns. Maybe that’s what liberals want
Oh by the wayAnother mass shooting in ohio just happened9 deadAmerica baby
@TripleAce how many were killed in Baltimore and Chicago this past weekend
Another mass shooting in ohio 9 dead
Maybe. But it will have a lasting impression here for some time I think.
I hope this leaves an impression. The media loves creating narratives that aren't there and then sensationalizing them. So I hope it leaves the proper impression and isn't misguided by the talking heads.
Bruh, there's many European countries in which it's compulsory to own a fully automatic rifle. Why aren't there mass shootings happening there?
@Celtero : It has a lot to do with the gun culture in America. It also has something to do with racism, that is more apparent in a country where there is great diversity. As well, it has something to do with a president who spreads hate, racism and fear.
Sure dude, just blame your political adversaries, it's helping tons. I'm sure if YOUR side takes power all the gun violence will disappear into thin air.
@Celtero : Trump and other Republicans are blocking votes on reasonable gun control laws. They should be held responsible for their actions, as their actions result in thousands of gun deaths each year. Democrats have passed common sense gun control legislation in the House of Representatives, but it goes no where, because Senate Republicans will not allow the bill to a vote. So, you say I shouldn't blame my adversaries. Why shouldn't I blame the people who refuse to take adequate and effective measures to reduce the gun violence? And don't give me that crap about guns don't kill people. Guns kill tens of thousands of Americans each year.
"Reasonable" gun legislation isn't. Most people that think it is don't know the difference between automatic and semi-auto firearms. And like I said, why should it make a difference? Some of the states with the most gun laws still have much more gun violence than states with hardly any.
@Celtero : What you are probably deliberately leaving out, is that where there are strict gun laws, and many shooting, a great deal of the guns are coming from states with lax gun laws. Criminal buy the guns in lax states, and sell them where there are stricter laws. It's the lack of stricter gun laws in many states, that is the problem. And you also conveniently leave out, is that statistically, where there are more guns, more people die from guns. As well, a gun in the home is more likely to kill someone you love, than an intruder. You also mention people not knowing the difference between a semi automatic, and an automatic fire arm. Well, news flash for you. Most people don't understand the working of a cars engine or it's computers, but they are still regulated. There are plenty of people who do understand guns, who can guide in making wise decisions. Otherwise, our children will keep getting murdered, when it could be prevented. Fortunately, many people care more about their children, than their guns.
According to this NPR article, there can be up to 2.5 million annual uses of guns for self defense, so I'm not sure where you get the idea that a gun is more likely to kill someone you love than save them... you got a source for that?www.npr.org/.../how-often-do-people-use-guns-in-self-defense I doubt that everything else you said is true, and that you're just being presumptuous, but if you have a good source then maybe I'll change my mind... But if I recall correctly, the US used to have many more guns per capita in the past, and much less gun crime. And here's the thing, you wouldn't want someone who doesn't have a driver's license regulating cars or traffic laws, no?... Yet we get people who have never even held a gun suggesting ways to regulate them. It's pathetic, and they don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
@Celtero : I have looked into what the gun nuts consider using a gun for self defense. Included in these statistics for self defense, is a someone who hears a noise, and goes out on their porch to see what the noise is. That's ridiculous. I have also found, that a small percentage of guns owners have a lot of 'self defense' situations with their guns. If they were to actually be believed, then everyone should stay away from them, as they are magnets for needing guns for self defense, and it's dangerous to be around them. That is, if their reporting of guns needed for self defense, are to believed, and taken seriously.
Seems like you're exaggerating to me... not utterly unreasonable though. And I wanna point out some republicans are pushing for 'red flag' gun legislation. But I'm going to assume you just want to keep bellyaching about how Republicans and the NRA (lol) are the cause of every mass shooting, so I'll leave you to it.
@Celtero : Yes, it's much easier for those who support guns used in mass shootings, to just say, like you did, 'I'll just leave it up to people wanting to bellyache about the NRS, etc.' That some how makes it OK to stop legislation that could save many lives. It avoids the real issues, and I assume, to some extent, assuage the conscience of one's stand of making it easier to kill children, parents. etc.
Like I said, republicans are working on 'red flag' legislation.Meanwhile dems are trying to blame Trump and conservatives for the shooting.
@Celtero : Why wouldn't they put some of the blame on Trump? He is the leader of our country, and has repeatedly made racist, hateful comments about Hispanics. That sets a tone for his followers, if not for the nation. When hate and racism are spread by the leader of a country, it's not surprising if some people act on that hate, and kill others. That makes Trump partly to blame. I mean, if I kept telling people a certain neighbor raped people and murdered people, and people believed me, even if not true, it would have an effect. Someone might become incensed, and beat up the neighbor. I certainly would be partially to blame, for spreading hate about the neighbor.
Do you think it's reasonable to blame Bernie Sanders for the congressional ball game shooting?
@Celtero : Did Sanders spread racial hatred toward those shot? Did Sanders say the victims raped people and murdered people? Did Sanders' followers beat up a protester, and Sanders say: 'They were passionate', and then let it go, as if it was a good thing? Did Sanders ever tell his followers to beat up someone? Did Sanders specifically point them for causing crime all across America? No. Sanders has never done this. However, Trump has done this and much more, spreading hate and racism across America. I hope you are sharp enough to see a clear and wide gap between what Trump has said and done, and what Sanders has said.
And this is where you've demonstrated to have no logical or moral integrity. Trump supposedly insinuates that mexicans are rapists and murderers and are invading the US.So he caused the shooting to happen with his rhetoric.Sanders insinuates that republicans are killing people by not allowing free healthcare.Republican congressmen get shot up and Bernie's rhetoric had nothing to do with it.You should realize how truly partizan you are. People like you are more concerned about defeating the opposing side than making the country a better place.
@Celtero : Yes, there is a big difference between what Sanders said, and what Trump said. Sanders said the Republicans were killing people, by their refusal to establish reasonable health care. And Sanders was right. I have seen it myself in my profession. I have seen patients die due to lack of health care coverage. And it's Republicans who have fought against health care coverage. AND Sanders never urged people to beat up protesters at his rallies, as Trump has. Trump also has spread lies, hate and racism. He said Mexicans (not some) are rapists and murderers. He has said a judge with Hispanic heritage, can't be fair, because his parents were Mexican. He has also said at least some white supremacists who chant Nazi slogans and who chant anti-Jewish slogans are good people. If you can't see the difference between what Sanders has done, and what Trump has done, then the reason you can't see it, is not because there isn't a great difference between them. Others, with more open minds, clearly see a big difference.
Lul, you're just saying there's nothing wrong with bernie doing the same thing because you agree with him!Only difference is that you disagree with republican stance on immigration, therefore they're responsible for shootings with an anti-immigrant motive. You agree with democrats on healthcare, therefore they're not responsible for anti-republican motivated shootings. You couldn't be a more transparent partizan hack, and the best part is you keep digging your grave deeper.
Funny how purple poppy is so racist against black men yet its white men who are doing these things.
He inspires people to do things like this.
The government can't really solve this... it's more of a societal problem.
I wondered that, too.
El Paso is very different from the rest of Texas.
Pretty hateful comment towards Latinos.
Where do you live where you can get a full auto AK for that cheap? Lemme pack my bags and move!
@Matt57 I live in Namibia
What's a normal wage in Namibia? (How long to save up $600, for the man in the street?)
@goaded 5-6 weeks
I just saw a nice quote: "who's the sh*thole country, now?"
How. Are you gonna start imposing strict gun laws on the BLACK MARKET? Every idiot with 300 bucks can get an illegal firearm
Guns do kill people. People kill people. What do prefer somebody coming whit cocktail Molotovs? Because when you want to do something you always come with a nice way to do it whether good or bad deeds
Didn't the guy who attacked the ICE facility have molotovs?
That would be Arizona. In Arizona, you don't even need a permit to conceal carry in public, something not even Texas legally allows.
Luckily I work night shift and I was already home. I work in El Paso, but I live outside of it.
That's actually very fortunate! People do this kind of thing during the day
And maybe someone will come in your house and fuck and kill your whole family and you won't be able to do a thing about it.
@zagor yeah that would be great. Still the NRA would be the one doing it. Blood would be on their hands.
Oof. Gotta love when leftists truly show how deranged they are. Like... a dude grows up hunting with his father, joins the shooting club in school, inherits his grandfather's private collection of guns, and when he joins the NRA for their benefits then he deserves TO HAVE HIS FAMILY KILLED IN FRONT OF HIM... why exactly? To fulfill your perverse violent fantasies in a way that feels justified. Because you are truly a wretched human being, you wish pain upon others but you don't want to feel guilty about it.
Me next time a black commits a murder:"Just another crazy black man killing people because he couldn't get his hands on some fried chicken."
He is probably going to get the death penalty regardless
