What's your reaction to this story? What sentence do you think this man should get for his crimes? And what sentence do you think he WILL get?

In South West Wales, a man (who apparently can't be named) has been found guilty of rape, after having fathered at least six children with one of his daughters. He was also found guilty of repeatedly raping one of the girls she gave birth to, along with the other of his two (original, first-generation) daughters. During the trial, the court was told the defendant "groomed" his two daughters, from the age of 12-13, and one of the daughters subsequently born as a result, into having sex with him by acting as a "psychic" who sent them emails telling them what to do. He "created a false world touched by witchcraft and mysticism", the court heard. The man also organised the rape of one daughter by his friend, as he watched.

DNA tests showed he had fathered at least six of his own daughters' children, one of whom he went on to abuse, Swansea Crown Court heard. He claimed it was the girls who were blackmailing him, and that the sex was consensual because he did not know they were his own children; the jury took four hours and 23 minutes (a remarkably long time, all things considered) to find him guilty on all counts, with the perpetrator showing no emotion as the the unanimous verdicts were delivered, set to receive his sentence next Friday (18th Oct).

What do you make of this- what's your reaction, hearing about this case? What sort of sentence do you think he should get from the courts, for what he did- what would be a fitting punishment for his crimes? And what sort of sentence do you think he WILL end up getting, from the notoriously lax British court system?
