Do you think coronavirus is a threat to all places equally?
I'm beginning to think that it isn't.

The disease hasn't got a foothold in S E Asia, as many were predicting (Bangkok was mentioned early on, as the place outside China, where it was most likely to take off, based largely upon the high numbers of Chinese visitors).

The places which are currently its epicentres, central China, Iran, Korea, northern Italy, central Spain, the Pacific North West of North America, seem to share similar climatic characteristics with each other, especially at this time of year.

It's notably not causing a lot of trouble in the tropics.

I suspect, as with many other diseases, this one thrives in a particular kind of environment. There's something it doesn't like about the warm.
