New Zealand to allow abortions up until birth, no doctor or pain relief (for the baby) required thoughts?

esotericstory
Abortion on-demand, or any reason, up to birth

Sex-selective abortion will be legalized

20-week limit for disability-selective abortion will be scrapped

abortion up to birth for disabilities including cleft lip, club foot and Down syndrome

no requirement that a doctor must be involved to abort the baby

no legal requirement that babies born alive are given medical support

no legal requirement for pain relief to babies aborted after 20-weeks

no legal restrictions on partial-birth abortions (they force the living full term baby to born with a machine, afterwards, terminate its life.

I'm myself not opposed to abortions existing for medical reasons, but "no legal requirement babies born to get medical support" what the hell?

I can't see any other reason why this would be legal than getting access to human cells for experimentation. Its currently illegal worldwide to do clone human cells for experimentation.

The laws of new zealand dont actually present it in this way though, the law seems to be very open to interpretation. I'm not opposed to abortion myself, it can serve a purpose but anyway, its kind of weird how the laws are.
