they kept quiet for a month and so tell us what country wouldn't have done the same when assessing a totally new virus and not wanting to cause mass hysteria before understanding it? and also if you are American perhaps you can enlighten us as to why trump didn't learn from how china surpressed the virus in such a short time when china had a three month head start on showing him how to deal with it... the blame game is basically a waste of time but if you want to blindly follow the words of hannity thats up to you
@wankiam they think the first case of Covid-19 was confirmed in November of 2019.
@beefy40 and they think the first cases in america were there at the end of January but even in April/may trump was denying it was a problem so your point is?
and if trump had issued lockdown order far sooner too... bojo dragged his feet and we saw lots of deaths here in the uk so im not suggesting we did any better first off but we should have been an example of how to get it wrong since it took a further two months to hit america as hard as it hit western Europe
@wankiam True. But given what we know now about how contagious it is, I'm not sure how much of a difference it would have made.
look at new zealand and there's your answer to that.. they saw what happened in china, acted immediately and didn't lift any restrictions too soo... result hardly any deaths and the freedom to rebuild their economy far sooner than the rest of us
@wankiam I also think the virus was in the U. S. as early as November or December, and people who contracted it just thought It was flu. New Zealand did do it right, but the population comparison is vastly different.
it could well have been there that early which does actually respond to some peoples allegations that china hid it while america is just perfect but who knows for sure on that one... as for new zealand ofcourse population is a factor but if i cite bulgaria as another example they locked down early and a population of 9 million saw 700 deaths... if i multiply the population by ten to be approxamately what the uk is then we had far more than 7000 deaths... and new zealand...25 deaths in total would suggest over 200000 deaths in america leaves blood on the hands of the administration, not that i think biden would have done much better
oh and by the time it reached the us it was all over Europe so its doubtful it jumped directly from china to the states anyway... hence the fact america was a couple of months longer feeling the full effects Europe did and that was some time after it hit china... infact china had pretty much got it under control by the time it really hit america which is why they were able to send medical supplies they no longer needed
