Should the US and EU put a naval blockade around the UK to stop the new mutant coronavirus strain from spreading?

Of course not. It's more virulent, and is going to be less lethal. This is the path that basically every virus takes to becoming endemic, which was always how this was going to end. We WANT it to spread; we WANT it to become the dominant strain, so people can catch it and build immunity with an even lower risk of death than "standard" COVID-19.

Plus, you know, airplanes.

You know that's how viruses work don't you? They mutate. The stronger variations surpass the older ones.


You also know there's been several mutations already across Europe. Spain had a new one a few weeks back?


And you know because of the disastrous, almost wreckless way the US has dealt with the virus, it's only a matter of time before there's a US mutation that's stronger. It's just what viruses do. And when that happens I presume you'll be happy with a world embargo and naval blockade on the US to protect the world from the new mutation.
