As an Asian American myself, I think it's great that people in general are standing up for themselves. I don't like the idea of just saying stop hate for only a certain group or only a certain group needs to be recognized for hate crimes. I view this as a humanitarian problem not a racial problem. I want there to be a peaceful individualistic world where your achievements are as big as the hard work you do. And I want it for all people, regardless of the color of their skin.

I agree it’s time Asians become more vocal in society and stand up for our rights. I commend these physical displays of retaliation but I think standing up vocally is also a way to go for Asians.
